Sorry - I am a PC person through and through! I like being able to rip my machine apart and put in new drives, upgrade my memory, maybe add a new video card, etc. I like being able to get parts from many different suppliers and I like that most of the platform that I use is NOT proprietary. Hhmmm... I've added memory, hard drives, changed out optical drives, changed graphic cards, etc., in several of the Macs I have owned over the years, both desktop and laptops, using non-Apple parts for most of it. I was an IT manager for a number of years, over both PC's and Mac's, and I can attest to the fact that we supported Mac's with far fewer staff than the PC's required ... there must be a reason for that! And now that I'm retired, it's Mac's only ... I'm a little late to the party for this question, but yes I've done the photo books thru iPhoto, my first one was the 6x8 soft cover, 20 pages, and was only $10 ... cheaper than having prints made to share! But there are lots of ways to do them not using iPhoto and I know people who have been happy with Shutterfly and others. I'm working on a family history book right now, because I don't want to pass on albums with loose unidentified pictures falling out of them. But I was frustrated with the lack of text that was allowed in most photo book layouts, so I found a place that will let me create my own layouts (I use Adobe's InDesign) and then just upload PDF's to them. How do I relate this to Adam? Well, the family book has taken a back seat to Adam stanning ... maybe after the next storm I'll be able to get back to it ...

Wow - am I the only one here who loves my PC? Just curious... are any of you Mac lovers Engineer/Tech types? Do all of you live near an Apple Store? I live in the metro-Chicago area and the nearest to me is about a 30 minute drive in heavy traffic. That is NOT something I want to do on a regular basis! I can get to one of several stores selling PC stuff in 10 to 15 minutes. My PC interface makes sense to me (I've been using PC's since the late 80's and was using UNIX computers before that) and I don't WANT to drag and drop stuff all the time - I don't consider that easier at all. I do as much as possible via keyboard because that is what is most comfortable for me - I guess that is what bugs me about Apple stuff - THEY decide what the ~best method is and you have to conform to them (such as my earlier example about getting stuff onto my iTouch.) I like that I can work the way I want to with my PC.

My son has a macbook pro that he has totally abuses. He does film editing and records his own music on it - it is 4 years old and he is on it constantly. The fan went on it one month after the warranty expired and they replaced it free of charge. My daughter abused the power cord while away at university and they shipped one overnight to her - she was in the middle of mid term papers so it was a huge relief - she is in an area that does not have an Apple store. So totally off topic. I have watched that video of Adam and Kathy about a bajillion times - with a goofy ass smile on my face I am going to bake something just so when the fam comes home they do not know the extent of my nothingness this weekend. Oh, and I don't cook/bake so this should be rich Just do the laundry and clean the kitchen.. that always makes me look like I haven't been sitting in front of my computer, scrolling for videos and pictures of gorgeousness The laundry is done - only because it is ten feet from the computer LOL. I've got some form of baking in the oven - will have to move to the ipad in the kitchen so I don't burn said delight. I think now I will make some enchiladas (ok, SusieFierce, they are faux enchiladas - so don't get going on me ) My hubby is so ok with all of this - sometimes when I am worried about my sanity I wish he would say something!! Ok, not reallyI am now on the hunt for really high quality pics for my album....it's gonna be so awesome!!!!
