I never knew what was on that book from the Idol's tour, not pictures, not any info about Adam so MAYBE it is from there? ??? Nope. Just pulled my copy off the shelf specifically to check. Not from there. ;D #Adamgeek |

Oops, getting way off topic here ... but I can say that Adam looks great on an iPad, the resolution is amazing, and you can just stretch out his pics to get a close-up look at .... um, ... well, whatever you want to check out up close. His eyebrows, for example, you can tell that they are his own, with individual hairs, and not just painted on heavy. Yep, that's what I checked out up close ... :  I LOOOOVE stretching photo's lol! justkaren I agree, so happy I have an ipad! Have to say this...Atopper's are really passionate about their macs or pc's. Something new I learned today! Oh and I never had a problem with an itunes update. Also I right click away with my Magic Mouse! My kids remark when I'm NOT on my iPad! They think it has become a permanent appendage ( and I'm ambicomputerist; started on the MacSE, and moved through all phases of PC's. Now desktop is PC ; have iPad and iPhone --will travel!) ;D Agree iPad not great for heavy word processing. |

LOL, I have a slide rule and a book for reminding me how to use it. I keep it on my bookshelf with car repair manuals and how to identify non-poisonous plants for eating and herbal medicine remedies. All of this in preparation for the Apocalypse or being "left behind" after the rapture. I call it my Doomsday Shelf. [snicker] You say that like its a bad thing. In all honesty, I think everyone should be able to ID non-poisionous plants, particularly if they're ever around kids who inevitably stuff random plant material in their mouths. The herbal stuff is good on general principal too. I need to figure out a way to listen to Adam music manually, do they make a crank-up CD player? ;D ;D Its called a wind-up record player! Better make sure ya buy Adam #2 on vinyl !!!!!  |

JustKaren - it's the kid who really wants one. He's going into 6th grade. Do you find them useful for kids? Maybe we can share one. Six of my grandchildren are in the 5 to 13 year age range, and they all love my iPad ... when I walk in the door they all try to be the first to ask to play on it ... we have to set time limits so they can share. The younger ones play games (there's a cookie-baking one that they love!) or let it read books to them; the older ones surf the web or YouTube or check out the App store for new games. There are a gazillion games ... from silly to educational and appropriate for all age levels. You will start out sharing and, before long, you will both want your own! |

All this PC/Mac talk has my head spinning. I'm a happy PC'er but I'm a tech novice compared to most of you guys. And I'm still trying to get used to my laptop w/o a mouse. I don't even have a smart phone - yet. That's coming!
Anything that captures the beauty of one AFL is acceptable to me. I think I've gone from loving this guy as a fan to loving him with my real heart. I hope that doesn't sound yuky. It doesn't feel yuky. It feels sweet and heart-warming.
