JustKaren - it's the kid who really wants one. He's going into 6th grade. Do you find them useful for kids? Maybe we can share one. Not karen, but I will say that my 3-year-old niece uses her parents' IPad all the time. There's lots of apps for all age ranges. I don't own one (mainly b/c I'm cheap and don't feel like dealing with yet another gaget; still mourning the uselessness of my once awesome PalmPilot), but there's a ton of utility in an IPad.

Someone wrote that Adam and Sauli kiss all the time in public. Why can't we have a picture of them kissing. I would certainly love to see the two of them liplocked. I am totally in love with their love story, and since I am a romantic, I want to see a picture of them kissing. It never bothered Adam to kiss Tommy, and I could care less about seeing a picture of them. But real love - Sauli and Adam - I would swoon to see kissing. Am I crazy? Am I being silly? I can't help it. I am in love with love, and who better to flail over than Sauli and Adam. Somebody get a picture (a nice, romantic picture) of Adam and Sauli kissing. I hope I am not the only one who wants to see this. I'm a romantic too and although I'm not waiting for a picture I'm quite sure I'd be swooning and flailing too if there would be a romantic kissing picture. So you're not alone. About PC and Mac. I have a PC and I don't really know anything about Mac. I don't buy computers I buy computer parts and then I think the best combination is to have Linux plus windows.

LOL, I have a slide rule and a book for reminding me how to use it. I keep it on my bookshelf with car repair manuals and how to identify non-poisonous plants for eating and herbal medicine remedies. All of this in preparation for the Apocalypse or being "left behind" after the rapture. I call it my Doomsday Shelf. [snicker] You say that like its a bad thing. In all honesty, I think everyone should be able to ID non-poisionous plants, particularly if they're ever around kids who inevitably stuff random plant material in their mouths. The herbal stuff is good on general principal too. We had one of these stickers inside a kitchen cabinet door and in the garage. Used it more than once, too! Also, yet another good reason (besides soon to be awesome photo) to pick up a vinyl of Adam#2. ;D

Okay, I can't resist this geeky conversation, LOL, and have to admit that the first computer I used was an Apple in 1984--one of the little cute square ones that smiled at you (little smile computer icon). I also used a variety of PC's and also liked the DOS WordPerfect (also the earlier windows versions, too). Currently I have a laptop PC and will probably move to a Mac with my next computer. I am comfortable with both and both have pros and cons for me--but I really want an IPad and don't have one yet. I do love my technology and also have a Kindle.
I just got my first Android phone and do love it--especially for keeping up with Adam! Frankly, anything I can see his face on works for me...

I thought Warren was on tour with Kesha? I think he is working with Demi Lovato Really! I wonder what happened with Kesha? Did Kesha not like him? I know he went on tour with Kesha and was all excited about it! He even tweeted from the UK. (I stopped following him, though, after the Monte/Lisa twitter mess.) ETA: Just found this on his Twitter. Good bye Kesha, hello Demi! WARNWILLISWarren Willis Started working with Demi Lovato today! 12 AugFavoriteRetweetReply

Thought I would send you a reminder of what you are missing, today's forecast. Rain, pshaw! While we were replacing a light fixture in the bathroom a little bit ago, it thundered and I said to hubby "what was that?" Him: "I don't know." I looked outside to see cloudy skies and realized it was thunder! Hadn't heard it in a very long time--oh, and we got zero rain. >:( Sounds pathetic, I know, but you guys are making me a little homesick! :-[. Was fun getting wet today though, and the dog was all like: What the Fuck was That? ...still catching up...always catching up...*tries to catch breath*...why am I always catching up here? maybe it's my short legs--my husband calls me "Stumpy" #causehescharminglikethat #ridiclonglimbedapeman... I confess I mostly skimmed the apple vs. PC question because discussions about electronics make me insecure and terrified and want to go wibble in a corner, but I do have a recently inspired major pitch for apple. I've always been a mac girl, simply because I find them the least scary of a series of scary options (something about that smooth white exterior with the friendly apple on it is like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for me--it's like "Don't Panic" is printed on the cover)--but recently I've found out why that's a justified instinct. My husband's best friends from high school got us, as an awesome surprise wedding present last year, an iPad 2 (well, technically, it was this year--the wedding was last year). They even had a really nice inscription printed on it. Well, two days ago, the husband was unwrapping some new battery for his computer (also apple ) and dropped it right on the iPad, horribly smashing the screen. Guess what the guy at the apple store said when we brought it in? Aww, that's really sad, a wedding present, too...sorry to say, you'll need to get a whole new iPad, we can't fix it, and that costs like $300 (replacement cost).....(me: )....BUT....as a one time exception, we'll just give you a new one for free!!! I could have walked out of the store right then and there with a new iPad, but I'm doing it via the mail because then they'll even re-do the inscription! Talk about customer service! A little internet research showed me that this is an unofficial Apple policy--as a one time thing, if you have an iPad or iPhone or ITouch or something like this, and you smash/crack the screen, even if its totally your own fault, if it was a freak accident they'll be really nice in the store and give you a NEW ONE for FREE!!! (Maybe this is common knowledge but I was blown away). You don't even have to have some fancy warranty or apple-care policy or anything. So any of you who have these things take note--you don't need to agonizingly watch adam through a cracked screen any more!! So that's my APPLE pitch: they're incredibly reliant on customer brand loyalty, so they do what they have to do to earn it, and that makes a BIG difference. Also, diff topic, but while were making (TOTALLY REASONABLE) requests for Saulibert PDAs, seeing these photos of the two of them, with Adam so much taller, has made me suddenly long for a pick of the two of them standing together, Sauli in front of Adam, back to his chest, with Adam's arms wrapped around him from behind. Honestly, is that too much to ask? ETA: Maybe even a perfect chin resting on an awesome silver mohawk? Yes? No?
