Thank you rad and tinafea. I checked out the website and some others and apparently the tat does not affect hair growth. Interesting. I am too chicken to have a tattoo myself but I have seen some beautiful ones. I haven't been a big fan of tattoos, in the "olden days" they were mostly blacks and blues and not attractive subject matter, but that has changed in recent years. At my granddaughter's wedding, her mother (my ex-DIL that I hadn't seen in several years) showed up with this tattoo on her shoulder, and I thought it was beautiful:

I haven't watched the news, yet. I was sleeping. My oldest daughter's future sister-in-law just had her house destroyed in NZ. She said her feet were cut up from broken glass. She is walking to her boyfriend's place of work, can't drive. She's worried about flooding. That's all I know. That's just dreadful - so very sad {{{BIG HUGS}}} Last I heard, they were able to get some belongings out and go to stay with friends. Oldest sister was supposed to talk to her again at 9:30 PM ET, so eventually I'll get another update. She lives in a suburb of Christchurch. She's ok, that's what is most important.

Aww, Cayman and Mys*&@^#r, me, too! That's why I've been looking at pics online for a while now! I just can't decide for sure what or where. Close as I can get to a decision is something small and meaningful on inside of wrist where I can cover it with a watch or cuff bracelet if I want to. It's about the only part of my bod that's not likely to droop! Cayman, someone had a great sea turtle avi here--bright green I think...who was that? I don't know, I missed it. Darn. When we were at Grand Cayman, we went to the sea turtle hatchery/rescue. The little ones are so cute! We went to Grand Cayman twice, I swam with a white lab everyday, that is how our white lab got his name. :D He loved our pool, so his name, although spelled Cayman, but, the kids thought he was more Caiman, salt water & fresh water swimmer. If my sons got a tattoo I would be cool with it, our granddaughter now has three of them and I wish she would have chosen a more discreet location for two of them :-/ She is returning to Brazil soon and is going to get more, a friend of hers down there does the tattooing and draws the designs. My husband, her grandfather is not happy at all, he is afraid she will get Hepatitis C, always the worry wart. What are you interested in getting? What do you think Adam has in mind? Cayman, MyS*&@^#r and Hoopla....just do it !!! I love the idea of a little sea turtle...or whatever is meaningful to you. As far as droopy goes, I was afraid of that too. I decided to go with simple and small in the wrist area. (OK, I totally copied AFL, minus the eye of horus...but he is meaningful to me. lol) It's been 3 weeks now and I am very happy with it. It only took 15 minutes, didn't hurt much at all, healed quickly and was inexpensive. My skin is old and thin and my wrists are boney. I was afraid he might puncture a vein or something....but he just laughed...said it would be fine. I asked him if he had done anyone as old as me and he just smiled.

Fianlly retrieved my old avi after much confusion.
JustKaren - are the proportions ok please? The photo has always been blurry but I can't face trying to figure out another one.
Earthquakes are scary - I was on the 5th floor when one hit my city and I watched the building walls sway back and forth. No injuries thank goodness. New Zealand is certainly having more than its share these days.

Asked this question back on page 14 before all hell broke loose and I still would like to know the answer. General questions from person who knows nothing about tattoos... Do people shave the tattooed area for display purposes? Does the act of tattooing remove hair follicles so that it is no longer necessary? Is it necessary to chose tattoo color based on ginger arm hair?
Adam's arms also look like they are sunburned in the jetski pictures. Is it a good idea to get tattoo when you are sunburned. I don't like tattoo's myself, especially full arm sleeves. It makes me sad Adam will cover His arm with tattoo's. :( I worry it will limit Adam's choices if He wants to Act in TV or Movies. He would be limited in roles or have to cover up the tattoo's :( Of course as Adam said it's His Life, His choice.

I think I am getting braver by the minute.........I am leaning towards the top of my foot. Here in Phoenix I wear flip flops more days than not, not sure if I have to attend a drag of a function with hubby and be all conservative how I would cover it up though?????? I guess when it really comes down to it.............who the hell cares ;D I don't fit in with most of the other wives anyway, never have, they are all golf & country club and I am top down play the music LOUD!!! Good thing hubby used to be more free, he still gets me

For a nobody just starting out, yes a disadvantage as it costs extra for the make-up or whatever to cover the tattoos if they need to be covered. For Angelina Jolie, who has plenty of tats, not so much a problem. Since he has a fanbase already I doubt that it would cause much trouble especially if they are approaching him for a role. If it's something he's going after, sure it's possible it would be seen as a liability but much less of a problem since he has a "name" already so to speak. Just like the utterly ridiculous fact that he could probably get any Broadway lead role he wants now but he couldn't before Idol no matter how frickin talented he was because what they want for leads more than talent is "names" to get butts in seats.

Something I think is so funny, or maybe poignant - a young muscular guy gets a nude tattooed on his large firm bicep - then as he ages and bicep muscles shrink and skin sags, the nude ages and sags right along with him. ;D If I were considering a tat, I would definitely get it someplace sag proof. Daughter has a tiny rose on her ankle. It's pretty.

I really love that Adam is so positive and refuses to say anything bad about people unless they attack him directly. He is open and kind. He is not a gossip. He does not speculate about people's motives, feelings or actions. He does not tell others how to live their lives. He gives people the benefit of the doubt. But when pushed, he refuses to be cowed and is definitely not afraid to hit back and firmly take a stand. He collects good karma. He is my role model. Wise words needlepointed on a beautiful pillow with feathers. Words I need to memorize and try to live up to-I came to this realization when I read Adam's tweet about Miley being fun. Just 2 days ago I was saying stinky stuff about her :-/ well I stand corrected. Btw HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALISON!
