I'm thinking of you all up the coast. It looks like we here in Jax are dodging the hurricane bullet yet again. Here's hoping Irene decides to just go out to sea.

Here in Richmond (about 50 miles from epicenter); can't reach any of my girlfriends by cellphone. I was here on the computer and my house started shaking for about 10 seconds. Couldn't believe this was happening.

I have a question for the astrology folks - could Adam actually be delaying announcing the single/album dates because Mercury is retrograde? I just saw that it will go direct on Friday - any chance he would be more likely to kick things off once that happens? I know NOTHING about astrology (only that I'm a Capricorn!) but I remember reading here once that Mercury being retrograde supposedly effects things like electronics, travel plans and is a bad time to start new projects.... That is totally possible. I have many friends invested in the idea that making plans that involve a heavy amount of communication during the time of Mercury retrograde can create chaos and unintended problems. I myself notice that more communication difficulties at work and in my personal relationships and a stronger likelihood of electronic communications devices going awry.

I don't envy you all...it can be really scary. I felt 3 of those when I lived in Alaska and one was big enough that everyone in the University hastily evacuated the building...but then what do you do? You all stand around and stare at each other and don't know where to go next!! yikes..... take care....

gotta admit, that freaked me out a little. I thought for a second it was a subway train, but I'm on the tenth floor of a big old building so no way that would cause that. Whole building swayed and I really felt a little seasick--then I thought I'd imagined it but the upset dog and swaying light fixtures told me I hadn't. Hope there are no aftershocks. I lived in Cali for a year and it's different there--you kinda expect it. But it took me by surprise here in NYC, I gotta say. I immediately turned on the local news and all the news casters were freaking out too, lol. BTW, upgraded to 5.9 now.

oh WOW that was scary! :-( At home with teenage daughter and her friends and we're all feeling pretty rattled. Go figure, we lived in Southern CA for 13 years and I never felt anything like this VA quake!
Hope everyone is safe!

Earthquake bad in DC.
Our building was shaking big time. Everyone evacuted. Came back to office long enough to grab my car keys and log out of ATOP. Cell phone system down, can't reach my kid's day care. Heading out before even the back roads go solid with traffic. Catch you guys later.

Can you imagine how many people in NYC had a flashback to 9/11.
