sdgln.com/commentary/2011/08/23/commentary-lessons-learned-from-night-of-equalityLesson No. 3: Do not be ashamed of being a “weird” This lesson came from Lambert (though I'm sure it could have equally come from Griffin). During his speech accepting the Equality Idol award, Lambert told his life story of being perceived as a “weird fag” when he was younger. Yet, during his “American Idol” run in 2009, it was his bold, often outlandish and eccentric performances (along with great vocal talent) that fascinated the public and propelled him to the Finals (count me as one of those people who still thinks he should have won that night over Kris Allen). It also Adam’s “weirdness” that continues to captivate audiences today.

The only other time I felt one, my dog started going nuts a few minutes before. Shadow is sound asleep. I guess we didn't feel it here. I'm kind of sorry I missed it.

I husband and I just felt an earthquake here in Asheville,NC. It lasted for a brief second. I was here at my computer and my chair suddenly moved left, right, looked at my husband on the couch and he said did you feel that? I'm in Virginia Beach on the first floor of a multistory brick building and the building started swaying. We grabbed purses and keys and got out, along with everyone else in the building. Our other office is on the second floor of a very solid new building in northern Suffolk VA and they went through the same thing. Too bad my cat can't answer the phone at my house in Hampton. Now we can go back to watching the Hurricane Irene tracking forecasts. If it's not one thing it's another...
