Are we reallly discussing the pros and cons to his duck lips lol? It was a selfie in his snap chat. Its not like he is on the cover of Rolling Stone again. Need news about that album huh. Hey, it’s all we have right now. When there’s new music, maybe Judas role, whatever, we’ll all be thrilled. And almost his birthday 🎂🍸🍹🍾 Lol I am not having a go at anyone discussing Adams duck lips, or any aspect of his life. That is anyones right. I was just responding to a particular poster who seemed to be attacking me over my post. I Was just simply saying I am looking forward to some album news to discuss that is all.

Are you getting excited about the upcoming Q&A concert? NZ right? I think I remember you telling us that you'll bring your parents along. If so, cool!

Since it's a little slow, hope it is ok to be OT. Was watching The Four and Record Executive Charlie Walk mentioned that for 2017 out of 7 Million new songs that only 12 went #1 on Billboard Hot 100. This surprised me....

This surprised me.... You might find this interesting. There are 2 songs that dominated the Hot 100. Shape of You was #1 for 12 weeks. And Despacito for 16 weeks. So, 52 weeks in the year, one song for 12 weeks + one for 16 weeks = 28 weeks taken up by just 2 songs! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Billboard_Hot_100_number-one_singles_of_2017

This surprised me.... It doesn't surprise me. They play the same ones all the time and spin them to death which helps with the sales. They hardly allow anyone, who is not a favorite, to get enough spins to even get in the top 10. Every now and then a label will really push someone to the top who does not have a permanent spot up there. But they normally only get the one shot. I am not a country fan but they sure believe is spreading the wealth around. You get #1 today and next week the next guy gets it. You have artists like Carrie, Blake and Luke who will get a #1 on country with almost every single but they rotate them right out and the next one will get it. They don't sit there week after week or over a month. Sometimes you have hardly even heard of the act who is at the top. But even with all their #1s, you don't see them at #1 on Billboard Hot 100 because it is a combination of spins, sales and streams etc. And your country toppers don't need as many spins to reach the top. But it still looks good that country radio allows so many of them to claim so many hits and so many #1s.

I just checked the song out - 4,751,014,040 views on VEVO since January 12, 2017 - WOW! ("Despacito" (American Spanish: [despa'sito]; English: "Slowly") is a single by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee)

The version of Despacito that was #1 for 16 weeks was the remix that had Justin Beiber singing. So, while it is a great song, not sure US radio would have latched on without Beiber.

Except the Grammys are in NYC this year & Adam isn't. I didn't think that meant there would be no Grammy parties in LA. Oh well. There are a few industry watch parties in LA but mostly a NYC thing this year.

Interesting about the two hit songs...here in n Germany if I'm not mistaking the "Despacito" sans Bieber was the bigger hit. (He did great with "Love yourself" and I heard "Friends" a few times on radio)
ETA: In my social circles the birthdays have always been pushed to the nearest weekend although sometimes if it just doesn't work out it is pushed even further. My exams always always fell in March, where alot of my friends and myself have their birthday so oft it is spread out bit.
