YEP! I'm in Madison! ETA: Well, that's ridiculous. You can plainly see I'm in Madison! lol Welcome, Sarah! I never tire of hearing how Adam has impacted peoples' lives. And Milwaukee is my hometown and Madison is where my daughter was born. Somehow, everyone seems to be connected through Adam and in a multitude of other ways. Welcome. I am in Milwaukee too! Bay View actually.

Somehow, everyone seems to be connected through Adam and in a multitude of other ways. Welcome. I am in Milwaukee too! Bay View actually. Hi Sarah! So glad you're here. Hope you stay tuned and share your love for Adam whenever you can. BTW, I live about one hour from Milwaukee, in a Chicago suburb. I love hearing that there are more Adam fans out there not far from me! Just a quick comment about the Judas discussion. Whether the role might open more acting doors or Adam or not, it's still a high-profile role to get. if he doesn't get it, someone else will and that person will reap whatever benefits the role brings. These kinds of shows aren't so much about the acting as they are about the singing. They are pretty much a operas, with little dialogue. Adam could handle it just fine, IMO. I hope he gets it. And I can't imagine that his sexuality would be an issue. I think the pro's far outweigh the cons.

Jablea , valid point. Our fandom may have varied opinions but likely we all have the same hopes and dreams for Adam. This one thought crossed my mind just now... may be they are holding off with the announcement of a real life gay Judas, in order to avoid some flack that could drag out way too long. Just my opinion. But if they think there will be flack for casting a gay artist they probably won't cast one. If Adam gets the part, I doubt they will make it all about his sexuality. I could be wrong but I hope not. His fans might tho. When he sang "Girl Crush" on a country award show, there was hardly a peep about his sexuality except from fans. Most were raving (including the country audience) about how great he was. Agreed, sometimes it is not as deep as the fandom makes it out to be. Adam's "problem" is not that he is gay, imo. His "problem" is that he never has had a song just smash on radio. He is doing great, but he is not a huge, mainstream star.

Yup, to a lot of the general public he's just a one hit wonder and that's all there is to it. Most people only know him for WWFM and in pop music that song was a hit a long long time ago.

Elephant in the room, hard to miss. Adam is a world wide star . I believe that was the goal all along.

There are two articles on adamtopia today that are very honest about gay artists in the music business. I hope you have read them. IMHO,Adam is very well known and I don't believe Adam has a problem ,I think mainstream America has the problem. The two main folks producing JCS are gay,I don't think gettting the Judas part would have anything to do with Adam's sexuality. So many out gay folks are very big in entertainment, seems if they are in the background fine, out front not so much.

I don't think his sexuality would cause controversy for playing Judas. Also, Daughtry played Judas on a network tv production. There was no demand that he had to be this big huge mainstream star. In fact the guy who played Jesus wasn't a huge mainstream star either. So if they want Adam, he is a big enough star for the part. As for radio, if they play Adam the way they play the others (who get massive exposure and US spins), I have no doubt he will have a smash hit. But he has had hits of various sizes with WWFM, IIHY and Ghost Town. Just needs the massive play to take it up but he is certainly known tho. And there has been nothing wrong with his music. They just have to want to play it a lot in the US. ETA: Agree with milliemom post!
