When Carrie does her US tours, is she always the sole headliner? I know that it is more common in country music to have a multi-act tour-, even with the biggest stars. I don't mean "opening acts" but acts that get co-top billing. Just wondering. I know Carrie is a major star in the US. I think a few country stars get pretty good support internationally, but it's not too many. I am not a country music fan at all, so I'm just curious. Yes, she has solo tours. She does have openers. Her tours are HUGE here! Big shows in arenas and usually sold out. Here are the stats from her last tour here. Impressive! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storyteller_Tour:_Stories_in_the_RoundIMO, the Idol that is over rated, as far as music success goes, is JHud. Her Oscar is everything! Here is JHuds discography page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jennifer_Hudson_discographyI so agree with you about JHud. But to me, it's in music and acting both. But she just got the role of Aretha in a new movie, so what do I know? When you win your first big award, things can really take off for you.

When you win your first big award, things can really take off for you. JHud seems to be the "go to" person for certain roles at this point, and her life might be very different if she hadn't landed that Dream Girls role and won an Oskar for it. I wonder if she has real fans though. I certainly can't quite connect with her or her voice.

She won a Grammy for best new artist out of the gate (I think she was the first country artist to win that award) and country radio has played everything she puts out in a massive way. I know there are some who don't think US radio play makes a difference in who can move up to arena tours but I disagree. No matter what Carrie puts out, country radio will give her 3 or 4 #1 singles per album. With that kind of exposure she gets nominated and performs on every country award show known to man and other awards shows as well (Grammy's, AMA, Peoples Choice, Billboard, Frank Sinatra tribute show etc). Kelly does not get a number 1 from every album. The result is Kelly does not headline the huge sold out arena tours like Carrie does in the US.

He is an excellent vocalist and he is a classically trained tenor. (He is no Adam Lambert but he is good.) He had the biggest song in the world in 2017 -- and that is NOT the remix version with Justin Bieber, it is the original version. He is also a well-know Latino singer -- and 17% of the total U.S. audience, and 22% of the target age US audience (18-49) is Hispanic. It is certainly plausible BUT just because it is plausible does not mean it will happen. I'm sorry, but I sort of don't get the "Latino singer" and "Hispanic" thing. If I look at a movie, show, performance... it's because I like THE movie, show, performance, voice... I don't care if it's Latino, White, African-American, Asian (I apologize if I didn't get some of these terms right). I just enjoy a great show or performance. Because IF they both would be considered for a role and that guy is talented, but NOT as talented as Adam and gets the role - there is something wrong with it for me. I can't help it. There may also be a monetary crossmarketing angle for casting a popular Latino singer, the NBC / Telemundo connection. From Wiki: Telemundo (Spanish pronunciation: [teleˈmundo]) is an American Spanish-language terrestrial television network owned by Comcast through the NBCUniversal division NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. It is the second largest provider of Spanish-language content nationwide behind American competitor Univision, with programming syndicated worldwide to more than 100 countries in over 35 languages.

Was that the tour with Pentatonix? Yep they are a pretty big draw. But Kelly has never made the kind of tour dollars or had the massive tours that Carrie has. The highest amount she has had on the Forbes list was 8mil when she topped the list to Carrie's 20, 26, 31 etc. No Idol has put up the tour dollars that Carrie has. Not a Carrie fan but there is no way any other Idol is doing what she has done in the US as far as tours and awards and certifications.

Simon actually predicted she'd be the biggest selling Idol ever! At the time, I thought he was nuts! But I think the Country Music audience is very loyal.

Yes, it could be the reason too. Well, we already know Adam doesn't have the Judas role. At least we can forget about it. Hopefully there are some new opportunities on the horizon. *fingers crossed*
