Aralid Black Friday is Nov 25th. TY, If it's true it would be great. The 8 weeks till the single release are more then I had expected but it's ok . At least it will not be released when I'm on Holiday :D

I just did a calendar check for the Tuesday's in Oct. I truly think Adam said 8 weeks, as his maximum estimation so the fans don't go crazy if it is, in reality, 8 weeks. So, starting with 6 weeks, we have Oct. 4th, which gives the single 7 weeks before BF week. Oct. 11th will give the single 6 weeks, before BF week, and Oct 18th will give it 5 weeks. I think these are all reasonable timelines. Based on this, my new single date prediction is.....da, da.........Oct. 11th!

I refuse to get worked up about Adam's numbers. I would bet that the "8 weeks" has fudge factor built into it. If he thinks it is going to be 5-6 weeks and he said that and there was ANY kind of delay, the fans (and maybe even press) would be going nuts over that delay. If he says 8 and it releases early, no one can complain. There are 12-14 weeks until Black Friday (depends on whether you include this week and/or BF week). If you want the single to have 8 weeks before BF, it would be around the week of October 3rd. If you can get away with a little less, say maybe 6 weeks, that is the week of October 17th. WHICH IS ABOUT 8 WEEKS FROM NOW. It sure looks like everything is on track for a BF release. This may be a "delay" from earlier rumors of early November, but I don't think anyone can consider getting the prime BF release is a bad thing. I also can't get worked up over lyrics. Try reading a single phrase from most pop/rock or even classic songs. How about one of Elvis' biggest hits (since we've been talking about him a lot lately) If you didn't have a melody in your head for this, how "bad" and "cheesy" would this lyric be? I always wonder why people ask for lyrics - if you aren't hearing them in context, they really don't mean much. Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go. You have made my life complete, and I love you so. ETA: Just another example 'cause I can't help myself A single line taken out of context from a classic, wonderful Irving Berlin song: "What'll I do with just a photograph to tell my troubles to? " In context, that line can make me cry - just reading it on it's own - a little silly!

PJD, there's a great story about when Willie Nelson was asked to write a "road" song for a movie. He turned in the lyrics first.
On the road again I just can't wait to get on the road again The life I love making music with my friends I can't wait to get on the road again
The producers were like .... great, Willie. Just freaking great.
The song became anthemic and Nelson's biggest career hit. Not to mention nominated for an Oscar for best original song.

Oh lord....all I can think about is Adam hamming it up for Sauli "I'm gonna do bad things to you!" ...gah! ded! With you. I wanna do bad things with you. I think, now, that RCA gave him the Black Friday week. IMO, that is a very good thing. It means great sales, but also, it means RCA loves this album!! Will the single have enough time to build anticipation for the album? If it's a great single, it will, And I think it's going to be a great single. I also think this album will have more than 2 great singles, so no worries. It's not opening week that matters. It's all the weeks after that! So much this. All is going according to their plan. I swear, there is more angst in this fandom than in Chicken Little. Adam's label and Adam's management know how crucial it is to time everything correctly. I will choose to leave everything in their capable hands and wait patiently. And again- Adam has never been one to pin a date down. I agree there is fudge room and personally I think he wants to surprise us with it. He's never been able to pull off anything secretly and I'd bet he is trying his damndest to do it with this new single. I don't think Adam Storm 2.0 is going be rolling in slowly with a lot of warning. I think it is going to hit us slam bam full force and knowing too much in advance would dull the effect. Best of luck to all in Irene's path. I went through numerous hurricanes during my Florida years and all I can say is bring everything in. I've had my house so full of outdoor plants and furniture that you could not walk. It is annoying as hell to have to bring everything in, but not nearly as annoying as having your roof blown away and that is exactly what will happen if a flowerpot comes in through a window. Hurricanes are nothing to fool around with.
