I can't listen at the moment but I agree, I thought it was weird that Billboard said that because it didn't sound like "Wanna Say" to me. Sandy, I see that you are online. I hope that means that you are safe and dry and that the worst of Irene has passed for you ...

BFTP XXIVIX Anyone think this could be a Burning Man necklace ? Adam had light colored hair when he attended one year. There are quite a few articles about Burning Man in the media now, very interesting to read, some people obviously can't appreciate creativity in all it's forms.

Thanks Karen, so far so good, had over 5 inches of rain so far, winds 45 gusting to 55 and getting stronger. The eye is almost due east of me and we have been getting pounded all day. The worst is actually almost here. Miraculously the power is still on. Probably have about 6-7 more hours to go. The Adam Lambert Hour has been a nice distraction!

Whelp I live in a pagoda like glass house on stilts in a tree grove in CT. If I get whipped up and blended or smooshed by a tree it's been wonderful knowing y'all. : ) At any other time, that sounds wonderful and romantic but all I can think of now is I hope it's tempered glass. Keep safe and check in occasionally if you can. We will check on you tomorrow evening.

Tips for Communicating in an Emergencyby: Jamie Barnett, Chief, Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau August 27th, 2011 Here's a few, but more are at the link below. # Have a family communications plan in place. Designate someone out of the area as a central contact, and make certain all family members know who to contact if they become separated; # If you have Call Forwarding on your home number, forward your home number to your wireless number in the event of an evacuation. That way you will get incoming calls from your landline phone; # Wait 10 seconds before redialing a call. On many wireless handsets, to re-dial a number, you simply push "send" after you've ended a call to redial the previous number. If you do this too quickly, the data from the handset to the cell sites do not have enough time to clear before you've resent the same data. This contributes to a clogged network; Link: www.fcc.gov/blog/tips-communicating-emergency

Thanks MyS*&@^#r50, LindaG23, and stardust! : ) Just had a "what if" pang after hearing about the kid who died from a tree falling on his house. But, this house has, amazingly enough, been around for 40 years through many big storms. It is thick glass! They say the winds are no higher than 50 mph. Weather people always over hype. But storms are definitely waaay more exciting in this little hut. Would feel a little better right now if I had a cellar. I do have one reasonably safe room if it gets bad and I am well prepared for an outage. ; ).

The tree on the house incident took place on the other side of town from me. Very sad, hopefully there won't be any repeats anywhere else.
