Adam not only removed himself from San Diego at age 18 and that in spite of a welcoming and understanding home, he also went through a radical transformation of himself in the years to come.
I remember one interview where a journalist tried on Adam's jacket and said something like I wish I could wear this. And Adam just said, anybody can wear anything they want. Initially I thought that was a bit short-sighted, as in 'not-everybody-looks-good-in-red'. But later I realized what he meant: If you want it enough you can make anything happen. He transformed himself from red-headed, overweight, average looking, do-goody, geeky boy to ROCKGOD! He did make it happen, willpower and all. What it takes though is that what you are trying to become is really what is inside of you already. Otherwise it is probably not going to work. When he said...'whatever you WANT', he really meant it.
He had already crossed that bridge.
Adam changed looks, changed place of life and circle of friends and then went and put at least some of the more visual parts of his lifestyle in front of many millions of mainstream, conservative leaning idol watchers, given them the opportunity to judge, the latter something most mainstream people try to avoid even in the most normal of circumstances. He went for it, not knowing what the outcome for him would be.
He is walking the walk, that is for sure and as many have said: balls of steel. LOve, Love, Love...and a ton of respect and appreciation, that's all I can say. Thanks for the great discussion tonight.

I think this will be pretty unpopular, but I am not crazy about her singing in this one ???[/quote]
Guess I will be unpopular with you. I still have a problem with not being able to understand most of what she sings. Allison seems very sweet and a great friend to all of them. For me, I just do not enjoy listening to her.

Thanks for posting that. She really is great. It's been said before, but I love that these musicians have bonded enough to make more music after tour. Monte still has the nail polish. 8-) I think this will be pretty unpopular, but I am not crazy about her singing in this one ??? Thank you. Pitchy much. Maria22pf, just remember, you are not alone ... in the aftermath.

Wow - thank you for this! I had completely forgotten about it, and what a huge impact it had on me at the time. It may sound strange, but I am in my house saying "fuck yeah!" I think I'll print it out and keep it on my desk and refrigerator as a reminder. Oh, and the kissing gif - gah!

And that song did no favors for her. Her range is limited and the bottom notes were tentative and weak, while the high wail was just kinda painful. In order to sound her best, she has to pay close attention to the songs she chooses for style (can't sing other than the rasp, really) and range to make the most out of her delivery. As opposed to Adam who has crazy range and sounds good all up and down it. He also can change up the tone of his voice to match any number of styles and genres. Just an all round more versatile, capable singer. Hope Allison can find the right niche.

Hey can anyone answer this for me.....I keep seeing "reminders" on twitter to give the concert DVD trailers of WWFM & Fever "hits" on VEVO. What is the purpose of giving these multiple hits? I have enjoyed watching these a few times, but it seems people are saying to just keep watching them. Not sure how they even count hits (and never understand when it's been semi-explained) but wouldn't additional "hits" just for the sake of running them up just artificially inflate the demand for the concert DVD, rather than allowing a true picture. I'm confused about why these continual reminders? No one knows how YouTube/VEVO count views -- they keep it secret because if people knew they would manipulate the numbers. What is known is that multiple, sequential views do not change the counter and advertisers are assured that VEVO removes these from ad view counts. So, my suggestion is do not waste your time repeat viewing VEVO videos. If you want to increase the view count, view the video once a day or two. The only benefit to Adam from VEVO views is that it generates a very small amount of ad revenue to RCA and Adam. Other than that, it is there to expand Adam's audience, so fans rewatching the video does very little good. I could be missing something special about these videos -- if so, please correct me.

I'm confused about why these continual reminders? A lot of these video streams are monetized now where the artist actually makes money on views. That may or may not refer to unique views but since we don't know it never hurts to give as many hits as possible. Also since Vevo were the ones who paid to film the concert it makes sense to show them it was worth their while to do so. We know that advertisers are not charged for most repeat views or anything that appears to be a robot -- even if it is manuel.
