Bono really is a visionary and I think Adam will get there too. One of my favorite Bono quotes is " Dream up the world you want to live in, dream out loud at high volume". I love that quote, Rihannsu! As for the question of the day-- what is it about Adam?, I've thought about this quite a bit. I adore his voice. I think he's very good-looking. I love his personality. In particular he has the qualities I most admire in a human being-- braveness, kindness, and a sense of humor. I think he has amazing charisma. I love that he "lives out loud" and creates the reality he wants to live. I love almost all the individual parts and I love the whole most of all. But when I really, really get down to it, what makes me stan him (rather than just be a fan of his) is something that sounds very hippie-esque. Basically, I think he has fantastic energy. For whatever reason, I've always been very sensitive to people's energy, and my own mood is easily affected by what other people put out, either negative or positive. I think Adam by nature is very positive, and he also seems to work at it consciously and puts out what he wants to get back. His energy comes across very powerfully to me, whether it is indirect (like when he's on TV) or in person at a concert. It's kind of irresistable. (And yes, I do hug trees, in case you're wondering... )

Juniemoon, thanks for your great essay. I did not realize these singers went through such tough times in their careers. I grew up being familiar with them and having my parents tell us that they were great two of the singers of their genre. Probably the biggest difference between these icons and Adam is that Adam can cross genre's with the blink of an eye. The thought of these guys singing Beatles or other old pop tunes is almost cringe worthy. Not what they were meant to do.
What makes me addicted? Like other people here--the voice. I saw him on AI, didn't think he would be "my type" of singer because of his style--emo hair, leather, chains, etc. So I know it wasn't his physical appearance that hooked me at first. All the rest--saying words, fashion, physical beauty, dancing, personality--came later for me. I'm embarrassed to say that his extreme good looks did not even register with me until the summer after AI. That's because I was so focused on the singing. I can be dense.

On a break, drive-by posting again. Sorry if this has already been posted, but I can't believe there was an interview (or part of one) I missed. And, of course, it's good. Words, Adam, more words. (AND NEW MUSIC ASAP!) from robininnyWow! Never saw this awesome interview b4. @adamlambert w/ Brian Douglas at Kentucky Center for Performing Arts youtu.be/bwq6A3JxRU0NOTE: This portion was only uploaded a month ago. What a great interview. When I was going thru the other replies I hadn't seen where you'd said it was only recently uploaded. It has very few views and it's upload time explains that. It certainly deserves to be watched more.

These folks are from my adopted hometown of Tupelo, MS. They are misguided and have a lot of influence that they often use to promote very conservative social causes. But honestly having dealt with them for years -- and although I do not agree with them -- they are neither sad or hateful. JMHO this is a group that needs to be convinced to change their point of view -- not to set up a battle with. They are too influential and have too much power to treat in an offhand manner. I am not defending AFR -- just recommending a different approach -- name calling makes AFR stronger and give them a way to raise money. Convincing their supporters that this if a foolish approach and not the "Will of God" is a better approach. AFR needs an audience and needs to raise money. I live a few rules for political engagement -- never make you opponent stronger, and never give him/her a fundraising headline. Work to marginalize him/her.
