Never really been a fan of Melissa's music or her voice so wasn't enamoured with the performance because of that. Adam appeared to be having "fun" and likely in the room things would have felt different. But after the raw intensity and beauty of his duets with Brian and his guitar before IWIA just about any other will likely come up short... Different kinds of voices can blend - Indigo girls and Pink singing together on Mr President comes to mind, or Alison Kraus and Robert Plant. For it to work there does need to be a space for what each brings so they can come together. My take on why this performance didn't fly, was they were too often trying to inhabit the same space. Yup. That makes sense to me.

This is wonderful! So well done and all Adam's moves- awesome! And the voice was explained by the fact that she is a woman! This makes me smile! OMG, why didn't the rest of us pick up on that? I just watched some of her vids from Poland's Voice in 2013. She gorgeous. Figures the one impersonator we like is a woman.

shimoli710 I‘ve seen this about an hour ago. It’s from that guys Instagram-story. I don’t know, if the crossed-out picture is still there. BUT an earlier story showed, that he filmed Adam singing „I‘m the only one“ and the guy wrote „I❤️him“ or something like that. He really seemed to be a fan. The last pic of the story is the one you posted. My guess: The guy wanted something (interview/ picture/ autograph...?) from Adam and didn’t get it. His big „crush“ let him down and now he‘s angry. Let him be. It’s his opinion, posted in a tiny story. Adam can never satisfy everybody. The worst about it is, that some Glamberts now make a big fuss about it. 🙄 Edit2: His Account is now private, after about 30 Glamberts attacked him. Some of it was really ugly, including threads of violence. 😬👎 Edit1: Here are the guy’s s earlier insta-stories (now deleted): (They were some of the earliest in yesterday’s thread). I think you are right about him being Adam's fan (formerly fan now it seems). And I agree about the possible reason of him being angry. I didn't comment on his IG. And if I had I wouldn't have attacked him like that. Anyway reading those posts and comments other people and celebrities from that evening - gushing about Adam, seying how nice and down to earth he was, I don't blame those Glamberts being so upset. Something probably happened there (we don't know what). Still, reaction of that 'fan' seems weird and too overreacting to me. Oh, I was wrong -- I figured he was trying to stir up Adam fans. Because his post was really incendiary. Now I really wonder what happened to make him so upset. And to make it worse, he got attacked for his post -- so that will just make him more upset.

I'm always really nervous whenever Adam performs at big events, especially televised ones. I typically won't watch the video unless I hear on social media that it was great. I wasn't hearing much flailing at all, so I had a feeling Adam didn't blow it out of the water as he usually does. I probably won't watch it now after reading the comments here. I still do watch "Girl Crush" and "One More Try" pretty regularly. I guess you are referring to the lack of flailing on this board because I saw plenty of flailing by the people who attended the awards ceremony. Maybe most are waiting on a full video of the performance. As Adam is a perfectionist we probably also expect the best from him. We have high expectations each time again and compare everything. Yes this wasn't a Girl Crush sensitive performance. It wasn't intended that way either. What I do think is that there isn't any other performer who could have done this duet with Melissa the way Adam did. They still killed it and the audience loved it. The high amount of IG stories with gushes from amazement says enough for me.

The high amount of IG stories with gushes from amazement says enough for me. I agree, I thought everyone who was there liked it. Not a single negative comment. I appreciated what Adam was doing, he did some really interesting things with his voice. The final riff-off was the only thing that was a bit clunky, but I actually did not like Melissa's shout-singing there. She just does not have the pure voice that Adam does, so it's maybe a bit jarring when they trade those riffs. I never noticed that Adam made any mistakes - I'm sure he is always thinking it could have been better, being a perfectionist, but if he hadn't mentioned that his final riff wasn't what he wanted it to be, no one would have really noticed, and I don't think anyone minded. It's not like he sang the wrong notes or sang off-key; he simply sang one riff instead of another. 99% of the song was really great, with Adam playing around with the melody and extending those phrases, while I felt Melissa was providing the grounding. Also, just because the last few seconds of the song were not perfect, it does not mean we should dismiss the entire performance. I liked it, and wish we could get the full video.

Thank you Adam for this wonderful pic from M&G in Warsaw - one of the best TOHT concerts ever!

I hope somehow someone shares the entire GLAAD performance with us - I love them both (Adam and Melissa) but it seems like I don't like them so much together..... Did they try to "out-belt" each other? It may have sounded differently from the live audience's perspective, and we haven't heard the full song yet, but as of now I am not crushing as hard as I did when Adam sang with Leona Lewis at the CMAs a while ago. Two very different songs of course. That's what it sounded like to me. And, you know, no one can out-belt Adam. He really didn't have a choice but to go there as Melissa was certainly trying. And, with her Ovation guitar, it just didn't sound good to me. But, I wasn't there, don't know, hope everyone in the audience loved it.

Who is the actual fan or should I say former fan that posted this? Not sure I'm reading this correctly! He deleted the pic already and his account is private now. Good!

Adam just said at the Kelly and Ryan show that they only rehearsed quickly and decided to just "wing it". Well, nothing wrong with that for certain appearances and songs, but that's how it appeared and sounded to me. It definitely seemed less polished and more of a rock'n roll type experience
