It is a good question. Facial hair and head hair (unless you're bald) are things that you can change at will. So it's not really a big deal if people like it or not, it's just Adam's preference. Body type and weight is much more difficult to control -- if it can be controlled at all. It is not so much a matter of choice and that makes it a much touchier subject.

I'm not involved with Twitter, but sometimes I read here that people on Twitter are being negative and causing a commotion in the fandom. I wonder how does one know for sure that those are real fans and not just trolls who enjoy stirring things up? Is there some way to tell the difference? Do really negative people get blocked sometimes? They are real fans. You know that, because they also do a lot of flailing and post many pictures. They love him and go to concerts, when they can. But some of them seem to be very young. They want the best for Adam and think, they know better, what is needed (especially better than Shosh). And they are very upset by now, that the album is still not ready and that Adam is never on TV ... and so on. That’s my experience at least. You can of course block people. Or, like me, I don’t follow them, so I usually only see it, when I click on the comments to Adam’s of Shosh‘s posts or check Adam’s hashtag #. Adam has a very diverse fangroup and some get really antsy by now, because they are not into QAL.

shirleyhalperin✔@shirleyhalperin "There are pioneers here like @adamlambert, who was just wholeheartedly himself and put his f---ing foot forward and didn’t hold back.” >> variety.com/2018/music/news/adam-lambert-troye-sivan-gay-songwriters-brunch-homophobia-industry-1202818291/ … Longish article. Adam bits: "James paused and gazed around the restaurant. “There are pioneers here like Adam Lambert, who was just wholeheartedly himself and put his f—ing foot forward and didn’t hold back,” he said. “A lot of people bashed him for what he did, but to be honest, I think if people like him didn’t come around when the conversations were so mum, then we couldn’t have people like Troye or myself.” The “American Idol” breakout star-turned-solo artist happened to be sitting alone with a forlorn look on his face while the brunch was winding down. Lambert likened his experience coming out to “being thrown into a pot of boiling water. It was a different time,” he told Variety. “When I was getting into music, it felt like an uphill battle. I mean, I don’t think I felt like anybody was blocking me or rejecting me because they actually had an issue with gay people,” Lambert said of his team at the record label. “But there has always been a concern — especially when I started — of: How do we connect this with a mainstream audience? A lot of these guys hadn’t done that before, the label people I was working with at the time. This was a new situation and there was no formula. There was a little fear surrounding that, surrounding the desire for success.” Admittedly, Lambert battled with internalized homophobia as well. “There were moments after my first year or two on the scene where I started getting insecure,” he said. “I started thinking: ‘Do I need to change who I am to fit in, or to achieve success?’ The thing I’ve learned the hard way is that you can’t please everybody. And ultimately, the people who do well in this business tend to be the people that just are who they are. They’re not trying to be part of a trend or dress like somebody else or become palatable. So now I’m at a point in my career where I’m being true to who I am; I’m being authentic; I’m being myself and not making any apologies for it.”

Hello! I have not posted for a long long time. I've been a fan of Adam since 2009. I've posted in this forum in the early days after Planet Fierce, but have opted to stay silent and just lurk these last few years. It has been super long time since my last post that i have to register again. I decided to de-lurk because i want to tell you guys that a lot of people go to this site to check what's happening in Adam's life. Like me, they might not be posting anything but they do read everything. This forum is important to a lot of people, including me. For all of you who are posting, please continue to do so. If the discussion gets intense, don't leave, just scroll or lurk. Ditto for me! Perfectly stated.

Well I am sorry to see Patti go.
i will be honest, I do not read the threads as often as I used to because I find many “negative” comments seem to degenerate into nitpicking and defensiveness. That is just my opinion. I do not care to follow those conversations so I leave. There is only so much scrolling I care to do and I have found that people have their own opinions and these discussions do not change anyone’s mind.
There is enough negative crap going on in this world I prefer to enjoy my time being an Adam fan. I stay primarily to give Q3 a break two days a week. She has been at this a long time now.
adam fans are not good at waiting and I know it’s been a long wait for his music.

Oh Lord....Jimmy Kimmel just pulled Sanjaya out of the Idol time capsule. He pulled out leather finger tips and Kimmel said they were from Adam Lambert's fingerless gloves.
