Kelly's been around for 9 years. She didn't get immediate adds two years into her career. It takes time to build up that kind of cache on radio, especially for an idol alum on pop radio. Here's hoping in 7 years he is ;D out of curiosity - how long was Katy Perry around? Is AI such a terrible-almost impossible-to-overcome-unless-around-for- nine-years impediment? AI is a hurdle. It's not impossible to overcome and it doesn't take 9 years per se. It takes having one or two undeniable hits, which Kelly had with her sophmore era and hopefully Adam will have with his. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, et al aren't the norm. Justin Beiber doesn't even really get immediate adds on pop radio from what I've observed so maybe it's more about being male than from AI. |

Katy has been around a long time, believe it or not. She had lost one label and was on the verge of losing another when she released "I Kissed a Girl." It was a big risk, but she knew it was either going to make or break her. It worked! She, IMO, is one smart marketing cookie! She has even admitted, in an interview with a local newspaper, that she knows this album is not the most amazing album or the best album she can write. But she knew, as she put it, that for summer of 2010, "This is the card I've gotta play." She was right, again! I have a feeling, that her next album may be very different. I hope so. I like her a lot and hope she doesn't go the Gaga route of same old, same old..... (Ha,ha, Chunkey, thinking of you again!) ;D |

I'm watching ALPHA TV right now , it's one of the biggest TV stations in Greece and they have the episode with Adam!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!! He's gonna sing in a moment!!! My daughter just informed me!!!  |
