Water. This is a plea to my Atop friends to send prayers of water for my beloved Texas, which is burning with wildfires all around my sweet city. Several friends in the Bastrop area, just east of here have had to evacuate. It's serious. It's hotter than Hades here and has not rained, seriously rained, in longer than I can remember. The wind today was strong, huge gusts, and it was so still last night. My sister said it was too still and the usual breeze just did not kick up the way it usually does around 11 pm (yep, that's when it cools down enough lately so outside is even remotely comfortable) So while we wait for Adam and vote on amazing music, please send water. Love, amw It is really a beautiful day here. Clear skies with a gentle breeze. We got a cool front - yes this summer that means it is finally under 100 degrees!. While I'm enjoying this weather immensely, I can't help but worrying how this breeze is making the fires burning just west and south of our metroplex even worse. I hope rain comes soon and takes care of this problem. Q3 Thanks for posting the rain dance video - hope it helps. Soeulmate: thanks for the rain pictures. I just want to stand in them and wash away all the heat and dryness from the summer. Momtomany : I'm so glad you were able to experience Burning Man again. sooo, I have the burning man radio on for hours now and I am wondering if A&S&Co are stuck in the exodus...the flights were from SF, not LA..they might've driven there... I am sure it is all fun sitting in the 5-7 hours traffic stand-still, but we need him to keep working - right?...so, he needs to get out and report his whereabouts pronto!  I never thought the flights would be to LA. I figured BM to Reno, but SF works too. Then SF to LA. Just checked the stream, crazy trying to get out. I think I might wait until Tuesday if I were there! |

wal thanks for the warm welcome! Glad you enjoyed my pics that night! I read the St Agathe concert thread yesterday. Great way to re-live my concert! i traveled to Montreal without my laptop...Never to repeat that again! A friend was so kind and let me post pics using hers.

Almost 500 homes destroyed by fire in Texas since yesterday, and 5,000 people evacuated. Is amw in Bastrop County?   No she (and I) are in Travis county. Bastrop is adjacent to the southeast. We are good in Austin so far. Thank you everyone for the rain pictures today, you guys are so sweet. Q3, I played the rain dance on a loop this morning. to all. |
