OT--Saw this picture tweeted by Taylor Hicks with the caption, "Till the skies open up and the HeWhoCannot amedet sounds." I don't know if he took the picture himself or not, but I thought it was too beautiful not to share. Yes, he took it himself. He was in the Gulf Shores area of Alabama for the weekend. The quote comes from the song, "Hurricane Waters" by Citizen Cope.

Regarding Katy Perry's "flop" single -- only hit #29 in the US and pretty much the same or worse in other countries...... As is often the case with moderately successful single, "Thinking of You" was a fan favorite, just not really a great radio track. I really do not think it is a great song -- kind of boring and repetitive. Here is one of the 2 official videos: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcI0AVFvcLMA rare exception to the fan-supported single not getting great radio support is Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" -- which fans worked really hard to get released and it hit #5 US, #1 in several other countries and Top 10 all over the world. ETA: Love that Taylor Hicks photo! He is one of my fav people from Idol -- does a great live show! And plays small venues.

Just curious, what was Katy's 3 singles from her first era? I only remember I Kissed A Girl, Hot and Cold, Waking up in Vegas, I guess the fourth one was the #29 one. Opps --- that would be 4 singles from her first album -- I will go fix my original post! They are: "I Kissed a Girl" - #1 for 7 weeks - she took a huge career risk and it paid off. "Hot n Cold" - peak#3 "Thinking of You" - peak #29 "Waking Up in Vegas" - peak #9 Second album --- five #1's in a row: "California Gurls" (featuring Snoop Dogg) "Teenage Dream" "Firework" "E.T." (featuring Kanye West) "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" ETA: 5 consecutive #1 singles from one album, Perry became the first woman and only the second artist (behind Michael Jackson and his album, Bad) to accomplish this.to tell you the truth - this scares me... obviously I want Adam's singles to climb to #1 or as close as possible, but I can't imagine him coming out with the type of stuff KP does...
