It’s hard to video with a little boy hanging on your arm, but I did it anyway!! Thanks for this, nic42! What did the little boy think? He LOVED it. Got myself a little Queen fan 😄.

I agree with you. And it makes sense as Adam has been out there carrying the weight for 9 years. It was sort of overtaken with the success of SS but when Adam started he was pretty much alone. Often under fire. No need to put him in the same class with the new kids. Sam is not as successful this time around and now Sivan is the face, until someone else comes along. Will be interesting to see how much success he actually has. And there are many more out there so hopefully Adam will get more recognitions for his work now. No antics are needed for him at this stage of his career and world recognition and success. But he will always be the first openly gay artist to have a #1 album on Billboard 200. Even when Sam's people tweeted that they were the two with that accomplishment of #1 albums, Adam will always be the only one who did it first. No small accomplishment. And Adam did two big pride concerts some years ago. I believe there were 75-80K people at the ones in Florida and PA. I thought they went over well as I never heard otherwise. But like you, I am looking forward to his new music. Still would like to know if he is signed to a label, tho, I think he is. Sept. 30 is the deadline for releases for any award considerations but that is probably not n the cards. But wishing all of the LGBT artists success. There is no way that Adam is signed to PhilyMack and does not have a label deal -- but we probably will not hear anything for several more months. I can't find any sign of when to start counting but it should be a 1 year gap. He signed with PhilyMack before March 21, 2018 so it could be early 2019?

Regarding Sivan, he has achieved a modest level of commercial success as a musician so far but in new media is a big star. I have not seen him live but saw him perform live on SNL and was not impressed. He has some impressive social media stats (it helps he was a child star) - 8.5 million on IG, 8.73 million on Twitter, and his YT #s are huge. He is well positioned to reach people under 20. "My My My!" recorded in OK but live? not so great IMO.
> Aside from the biographic coincidences of Sivan and Adam both being male, gay, white and Jewish from intermarried couples, they really have little in common.
Adam, has been far more commercially successful in traditional ways but has never put the kind of effort into building a social media and YT presence that some of other artists have done. For example, he only has 1.2 million on IG.

I just re-stumbled on this description of Adam from Logo Backlot published in 2015.
44. Adam Lambert Adam Lambert gay music artist
The current reigning champion of family friendly glam-rock, Adam Lambert is, apparently, our generation’s Freddie Mercury. No, really, he’s currently touring with the original members of Queen, picking up where the classic rock legends left off. In fact, some of the band are even saying their substitute has better pipes than the original gay superman, but that’s a debate for another time.
I find it interesting that Adam was labeled as "family friendly" -- perhaps because of Idol and Queen?
Why are you so certain he has signed with a new label? Just curious, because I see really no indication that he is with anyone right now. Believe me, I hope he has a major label when he releases new music. I am just not so sure...

ITs clear he signed not only to a new management. But also a new label . Like said no way he is signed to a major management and not a major label. But prob Several months till confirmation.
