That's an outstanding interview. Starts off as a little bit of a PR nightmare with the emphasis on his age thing and making it seem advanced, and also when the writer said Adam was "trying to contort his not inconsiderable frame into a tiny chair" I'm sure he meant that Adam is tall and well built, but Adam would interpret it differently, as he does... But afterwards it's all good, flowing, and some very interesting tidbits. I never knew "he" was changed to "it" in WWFM. I remember Adam once told he and Gaga were discussing whether he should change the pronoun in Fever, but I don't think I ever heard anything about WWFM. And the part about Cuckoo is absolutely new! As far as I remember Adam never told he wanted Cuckoo to be the single and the suits rejected it as "too flamboyant". We all knew, obviously, but seeing written explicitly is... well, it makes me feel a whole lot of things. My contempt for the label's suits couldn't be firmer. I also think it's the suits that are responsible for Adam's thinking that there was no audience back then for him as he was. No! There was always audience for him! I was always a bit mad at Adam for not 'going for it' all the way. I felt if he didn't hold back, it would not only keep the large fanbase he already had, but would draw a lot of new fans, just like the AMA performance won him new fans from around the globe (including me). But now I'm not mad at him; the article made it clearer than ever what he was going through at the time, from all directions. I'd already known the facts, but it's written in such a way that somehow drove the message home for me, and I actually feel what it must've felt like.

I always thought that Queen was a magnificent port in the storm for Adam...It seems ironic to me that Adam can only be himself singing the songs of somebody else. Even working with Queen hasn't been easy ,you're no Freddy. Now the new ordeal, he didn't come out soon enough. while some are still not out and others came out kicking and screaming.. I hope Adam has found a management team and a record company that will finally let him be ADAM. I also hope Adam's fans continue to support him, love him and buy up all his music.. It's time that our guy was lauded for all that he has done and for all that he is.I believe that's already started to happen. Epic, legend, pioneer, etc. ,words I often hear in relation to Adam...

It is the first time we have confirmation that Cuckoo was the single Adam wanted to release and was overruled? I don't remember if he said that in interviews before. It was so long ago LOL. He talked about the pronoun changes many times but that the label changed the single? We discussed it for years in the fandom that Cuckoo should have been released as a single. And after that they insisted on him making a cover album. I'm glad Adam was that brave as to part ways with them. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I hate Cuckoo. Well, not hate exactly. Just find it a bit too corny and don't think it would have worked as a single at all. Trespassing as an album, apart from a few great cuts, has not "aged" well with me. My go-to, at this point, is FYE. Highly controversial statement here, but I don't feel like songwriting is Adam's strength. There are really talented songwriters out--writers,poets--who know how to craft a great song. I actually would rather have Adam leave the writing to others. Don't hate on me!! Adam has a lot of strengths and a lot of talents. But, for me, writing is not one of them. And in retrospect, songs like Cuckoo, Trespassing, Two Fux just make me cringe a little.
