Thanks for those positive thoughts and images directed at Texas. It is depressing as hell to see climatic change in your own lifetime - to see how fast things can change, watching large oak trees that have stood a hundred years turn brown and die, acorns for squirrels, leaves for converting carbon dioxide into oxygen, temperature lowering shade, all gone with it. Blaming over-development and de-forestation in the area for increasing temperatures, making high pressure domes develop easier, which keeps rain away. We need all the rain dances we can get!
