I wasn't talking about what Adam said. But the other guy has a a bold statement that may not go over well the way it is put on Adam. "New Queen frontman Adam Lambert says Freddie Mercury wasn't gay." Hope not tho. I believe Ricky Martin was engaged in the past to a woman and Elton was once married to a woman I think. But they and the community identify them as gay now. You're right. Good point. That interviewer did put Adam in a tough position, Nasty of him.. Oy... Freddie isn't alive to self identify ...OY again I actually thought, that it’s an old hat by now. I mean, it’s the third/ fourth interview, where Adam said that. The first one was the Attitude one. (I remember, that I had problems with Adam saying, that Freddie had been married to a woman, when he technically never was.) I guess, that’s why the interviewer was asking. He referenced to an older interview, where Adam has already spoken about Freddie’s sexuality.

Must not have been as deep under the stage in Dublin since you can see Adam mount Frank....lol..... :D In all seriousness, appears most arenas have lower levels/pits and when you're set up on grass and even with what looks like a 6' or higher stage...you're kinda limited. twitter.com/Lynneville/status/1018234769165963265

It is enough that they go on and on about his sexuality without him needing to answer for Freddie's too, lol.

In all seriousness, appears most arenas have lower levels/pits and when you're set up on grass and even with what looks like a 6' or higher stage...you're kinda limited. In all arena's Frank was build half up and Adam had to mount Frank (I see what you did there), but as it is dark in the arena you don't see it. That's also the reason why Frank comes up halfway first. They have to put the other half under it and secure it before they can put the whole thing up. There have been several photo's of Frank being split in two under the stage now. Plus the stage in the arena's isn't that high. When I stand I can look perfectly over it. So it's maybe 1 meter 50 high. Maybe even less. In Antwerp I also saw that when Adam comes up for The Show Must Go On he has his knees bent and when they move him up he went into standing position. The stage is higher where Frank is by the way than at the end of the catwalk. It slopes a bit. I estimate it loses about 20-30 centimeters in height.

Thanks for the behind the scenes info Simone. Yes, I had noticed him going up and pausing...didn't realize they were adding his lower half at that point. I had seen him in halves in storage...just hadn't thought about them assembling him while Adam was on top. All that stage/set info is interesting to me.
The arena floor height is just about perfect for me. The barricades work well in height too. Seems those outside festivals are usually higher up...I suppose so all the standing folks in the back can see better.
Now that the EU and UK shows are behind us....I'm wondering what kind of production/set up we'll have in Vegas. It's only 7 weeks away!

It is my opinion that the "gay" questions have drastically changed from those at the beginning of his career as a pop star. Then it was mostly about the shock value of his gayness to the exclusion of his music. Now I feel that the validity of his talent is a given and interviewers really want his expert opinion. An analogy would be interviewing the engineer behind an innovative bridge or building design. The beauty and functionality of the finished product is plain to see but the nuts and bolts that go into the design help people reading the interview appreciate the design even more. Adam is both the creative and functional genius of his brand but also the "expert" in understanding the gay influence in the final product and its place in the world. So, I guess what I am saying is, the gay/gender/sexuality questions don't bother me. ETA: now if I could just get over the bearded ducklips above *sigh*
