It is my opinion that the "gay" questions have drastically changed from those at the beginning of his career as a pop star. Then it was mostly about the shock value of his gayness to the exclusion of his music. Now I feel that the validity of his talent is a given and interviewers really want his expert opinion. An analogy would be interviewing the engineer behind an innovative bridge or building design. The beauty and functionality of the finished product is plain to see but the nuts and bolts that go into the design help people reading the interview appreciate the design even more. Adam is both the creative and functional genius of his brand but also the "expert" in understanding the gay influence in the final product and its place in the world. So, I guess what I am saying is, the gay/gender/sexuality questions don't bother me. ETA: now if I could just get over the bearded ducklips above *sigh* Agree with everything you said....especially the duck lips lol.

You're right. Good point. That interviewer did put Adam in a tough position, Nasty of him.. Oy... Freddie isn't alive to self identify ...OY again I actually thought, that it’s an old hat by now. I mean, it’s the third/ fourth interview, where Adam said that. The first one was the Attitude one. (I remember, that I had problems with Adam saying, that Freddie had been married to a woman, when he technically never was.) I guess, that’s why the interviewer was asking. He referenced to an older interview, where Adam has already spoken about Freddie’s sexuality. Yep, the last time there was a big worry that the Queenies would get all over him for saying wife, and this one he said married and wife both and not even a whiff of worry there. It also might help to put a lip lock on the folks complaining that the movie doesn't explore his sexuality, meaning his gayness. Well if he was bisexual maybe they can shut up a little. Is it Freddie fans or the person who's spent many a night with Freddie's actual friends more likely in the know?

But wouldn't it be great if they could reward him for his openness and expertise with some radio play in the UK and more play in the US to help his career along? That would go a long way in getting him some award show nominations or appearances. His career is great but it sure could be better with a little more support to go with all the interest. He has been open for nine years now and will continue to be open. What an additional message (besides the wonderful interviews) of inclusion that would send to the LGBT community and the broader community that you can be open and still get on the radio a lot with your music and huge talent and heard in a big way by the masses.

Mainstream US radio is not going to play that. For US radio/ not so much radio - there are Sirius channels which might broadcast it but not likely.
