I just wanted to say that Van Morrison is one of my favourite singers too, and I love Eminem's "lose yourself" even though I don't listen to that kind of music. :D

This "best song" thing is such fun, I wish we could also have a "best 'feel-good' fun song" list. And "saddest song" list. And "sexiest song" list. And... somebody stop me!  Heart break songs Standards/Great American Song Book Best Harmonies Country (but I don't think there are many other country fans here) Favorite Instrumental in a song Songs that take you back to a specific memory (with a story of the occasion) We could have a separate thread, but it's much more fun to have the songs just thrown in to the news and general conversation. |

Johnny Mathis was huge in the 70's, 80's and is still pretty popular today. In fact I'll be seeing him in concert in April - sold out show. Of course it's all us old folks. :D

Amazing. He's not exactly Mr. Personality, but still a great show. He shut all of the bars down right before the show started so that people wouldn't interrupt the show to go get drinks. Sure glad he didn't shut down the bathrooms too. :-/ |

He didn't say "working all week." He said, So much work to do this upcoming week. Finishing vocals on three different singles! woohoo.So, if he finsished 3 songs in 2 days, then went to BM, I'd say he had a very busy week! ;D I am pretty sure that he finished recording those vocals in one session at Westlake Studios early in the week. There was a tweet from someone recording there that referenced Adam. That would leave a lot of time for BM. Ya, that was Tuesday, the 30th. Left plenty of time for BM! And it definitely sounds like they drove, since Sauli said they had a 5 hour queue. |

In answer to the GREATEST SONG POLL questions and suggestions ----
Looking at the results -- almost everyone must have understood how to vote because the majority of voters picked 3 songs on the first set.
You do not have to be logged in anywhere to vote.
Looks to me like the collective we has great taste because the top rated songs so far are the most amazing collection of songs.
I love the ideas for future polls. And since we are waiting for the single on Adam time -- where 8 weeks is more than a month and maybe 2 months but perhaps some alien calendar measure -- I have a totally different challenge for y'all next week. [ONCE I FINISH PACKING!!]

IDK I think we have to be careful with assuming that if it didn't get tweeted it didn't happen. There's nothing to say that there wasn't more than one studio session before he left for BM. Heck, it's even possible that if there were multiple sessions, not all of them were at Westlake or even on a weekday, he could have been in the studio Sunday too. There really is no way for us to know for sure. |
