When we talk about the 10,000 hour rule, consider Adam has been singing since age 10. That's almost 20 years! And didn't Neil say Adam used to drive him crazy because he sang all the time? I'd say Close enough!

okay but who is sitting next to Sauli in the helicopter/plane? You can see the tattoos so we know it's not Adam. Roxy maybe? Hmm, excellent catch. Roxy does have a lot of tats, but arm looks a tad beefy (could be angle) and she is very thin. Anyone have any Roxy pics handy? Otherwise, don't know, but looks like Adam not next to him, which is rather strange. I wonder if they flew up separately? A could be riding shotgun, but seems he would have been in back with S, especially if Sauli was very anxious about the flight. I was trying to find pics where you can actually see both of her hands.   |

Angelina Kalahari talked about it on the radio program last night: Adam Lambert: Boy performer to Adult Artist.
Angelina is, admittedly, a huge fan. But she is also an accomplished professional opera singer who has appeared around the globe. In addition, she teaches voice. When she combines her passion for Adam with her passion for singing with her extensive knowledge and experience about vocal production and performance, I listen. Smart lady!

Did Sauli or Adam say they stayed in an RV? I must have missed that. No, I don't think he did. From photos of past years, it looks like they used tents. But Susie is right, they must have had friends, already there, that brought up all their supplies. |

Yup, sure looks like Roxy's tattoo. The one that's about an inch above her elbow, kind of looks like a sideways tree ???, is also on the arm in the plane. And with Sauli's quote about the size of the plane, it makes sense that he and Roxy were in the back seat, with Adam and the pilot up front. I'd say Close enough! I agree with the hours if you include singing in the house, shower, car, etc. The 10,000 hour rule that Cassie was referring to meant concentrated vocal practice. Big difference in those two things! The fact that Adam had a gift, and his parents made the decision to find something that would nuture his natural abilities- helped start him on the path to the amazing performer he is today. There was undoubtedbly thousands of hours of hard work and practice on Adam's part put in along the way! |

I can't believe that the Houston GNT concert was one year ago today!!! In rememberance, I have posted some info (not really a review) about the concert: Houston – The Adam Lambert concert at the Hobby Center for Performing Arts on September 8, 2010 was a tour de force for Adam. The Hobby Center had never before hosted a music concert, and long and difficult negotiations were required to secure the event for the Glam Nation Tour. Adam had performed at the Hobby Center in 2004, where he had a starring role in the play “Brigadoon” for Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS). His performance of “Come to Me, Bend to Me” is legendary. (for more info on this performance see: adamlamberthk.wordpress.com/2010/07/20/adam-lambert-at-brigadoon-year-2004-adam-was-22/ ) Many of the personnel that work at the Hobby Center remembered Adam, and were very excited that his tour was coming and that they could hear him sing again. The ushers at the Hobby Center were all volunteers, and during the concert, they were as excited as the fans watching the concert. That is why crazylady and I were able to stand in the aisle of the second row and watch, dance, and flail at Adam’s amazing performance. There were at least 25 people standing in the aisles, and we had a great view, except for some tall cute guy with a hat on that got in our way. One of the highlights of the concert was Adam’s delivery of “Sleepwalker”, which is probably one of the fiercest and most impressive renditions he has given of that song. (ETA edited to add the right video from Houston) Of course, Suz526 was there to take great videos, and she even showed up for our party, and I got to meet her, she is a sweetheart! The Texas Glamberts put on a fabulous pre-party concert “ Glam Nation Take Over at Hard Rock Café”. We did completely take over the Hard Rock Café, there were about 250 Glamberts that showed up to the party, which is a block away from the Hobby Center in downtown Houston. We had Adam’s music videos and some of his performances from Fantasy Springs, including his entire run on American Idol, playing on all the TV screens and sound system, both outdoors and inside the Café. We ran a silent auction, with lots of cool Adam memorabilia which was donated by Glamberts from all over the country, and also a raffle, and were able to donate over $1,500 to donorschoose.org. We had custom blue glow sticks with the name and date of the party/concert, and we had a “glam station” where you could get yourself glammed up for the concert, proceeds also went to donorschoose. The top bids from the auction were for a Meet and Greet with Adam, that went for over $700, and this Adam doll, that went for $150.  Thanks go out to several members of Planet Fierce (you know who you are) that donated items for the auction, plus all the others from twitter and Adamland that donated.
