the only other one I know where Adam sings in Hebrew is this one: as a side story - after listening to the Shir La Shalom my mom was convinced that Adam has had cantorial training :D ... which got her to embrace him and his talent immediately ;D which in turn made my crazy affliction accepted with understanding (although she gets sarcastic about it from time to time)... I think he did mention somewhere that he was paid to sing in a few occasions at that temple (he sounds like a Cantor on Shir Lashalom also on "The prayer"). I think it was mentioned that he sang "Kol Nidrei" - I'm hoping that a recording of that would surface.... What an experience that would have been....

Bono is in a way a punk hippie. He's too aggressive and has had too many of his own battles with violence and temper to truly follow what he calls "the brown rice" model of pacifism. Many see pacifism as weakness but Bono realizes that pacifism is a battle in itself because we have to conquer the darkness within ourselves in order to surrender. The typical military mindset is that disarmament is weakness whereas Bono sees the strength and bravery that it takes to commit to non violence. "Sunday Bloody Sunday" was one song on an album titled "War" that was in essence about love. Bono's version of Onward Christian Soldiers would be marching off to love rather than to war. How fascinating! Would you say he shares some characteristics with Bob Geldof? Not quite. Bob loves to say that Bono wants to hug the world, whereas he just wants to punch its lights out. Bob is a few years older than Bono but they both grew up in Dublin area and have a passion for helping the poor but Bob's motivation he claims is not of the heart but that he just thinks its beyond stupid that "we can't feed the fucking world already".

I believe he is good friends with the cantor that he sings "The Prayer" with in that second clip so maybe indirectly he has sort of had cantorial training. I think there was an interview with a rabbi at Temple of the Stars who said very nice things about him but not sure where I saw it.

Found that interview: www.jewishjournal.com/hollywoodjew/item/adam_lambert_the_jewish_american_idol_20090429/"In 2007, he performed at the Kol Nidre service at Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre, where he sang the duet “The Prayer” with Cantor Illysia Pierce. “He was spectacular. People were just blown away by him,“ said Rabbi David Baron, spiritual leader of Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theatre. “He has that star talent; even among stars, he’s a standout. He’s the shoo-in to win this year’s ‘Idol’ and if you listen to the judges, Randy, Paula—and Simon, the toughest critic—they all say the same thing, ‘You’re already a star.’”

Well, I always knew I liked Bob Geldof, I just never knew why, until now. You sure know a lot! Do you know the biographies of many singers?

OK - I'm starting the rumor that Adam is in talks to star in another remake of the Jazz Singer and it's all because this made me chuckle. This time Neil Diamond will play Adam's father. Genius.

Isn't this where Mszue lives? Has anyone heard from her? Pretty sure she is fine, though she may have felt it. I have yet to hear of any reported injuries. Vancouver Island is 460 kilometres (290 mi) long and 80 kilometres (50 mi) wide. The quake was centered just off of the northwestern most coast and Mzsue lives just off of the southeastern coast, so she is fairly far away. Hi you lovely people....thank you for thinking of me. When I saw Geezlouise say that I went 'WUT!!]?? I was working late and then had a phone call just after getting home so I am late signing on and just trying to catch up now. We did not feel anything and when I look at the water it does not look particularly agitated. I will call my daughter and good friend though...they are in Victoria. It is Fiercelier that is the closest....she is north of Victoria, about 1/4 the way to Nanaimo...hope she is OK....I will try and contact her shortly if she doesn't "check in". Love you all!! Now I will go make some calls.....

Am I the only one who wonders what the people in the choir and in the audience think/feel when they realize where/who Adam is now?
Also, a reality check provided by my 15yr old grandson tonight. He participates in crew and we were talking about when there would be a race. He said they only had one scheduled for fall, the rest in spring. I said, “Well, when is it? It’s fall already.” His response, “No it isn’t, it’s still summer until the 23rd of September.”
I smiled because we’ve been discussing Ådam’s difficulty with time frames in relation to the album release when it could be that WE contribute to the confusion, also. Oh, and fall continues until December 22. We should have @ 2 by then!!!!!!!
