Eber's tweet, my absolute worst nightmare come true. I could weep...... ummm.. Then you have really small problems?? I wouldn't jump into conclusions how Adam have had to defend his vision against monsters the powers that be. I wouldn't worry. Adam had had his artistic vision get through even when his choices, on hindsight, haven't always been good ones (album cover & first single, anyone?)

I thought that Eber's "trust and defend your gut" comment possibly referred to fan reaction on Twitter to the news that the album won't be out until 2012. I didn't assume it was about a battle between Adam and RCA.

I am sick so I am only half able to freak out in the appropriate fannish way...maybe once I get some fluids in me I can be at full freak out strength =)

Sigh. Oh, well. I am desperate for new music from Adam. I NEED new music from Adam. But, I have needed new music from Adam all of 2011. The thing about my obsession is, I am so enamored by the man and his music that I am insatiable. I can barely remember when I wasn't. When the new single comes out I will play it excessively for a few weeks and then look around and say, "Okay, what's next?" When the new album comes out (in Jan, Feb, March, April???) I will be in seventh heaven and play it non-stop on my iPod for a month or two, and then look around and say, "Okay, what's next?" Wait ANOTHER two years for album #3? I'll never survive! The plain truth is I cannot get enough of Adam. There is no way that he can give enough interviews, appear on enough TV programs, release enough music, tweet enough twats to satiate me for more than a short period of time. The problem is entirely mine, not Adam's. So, I will have to find a way to deal with my addiction. I am not willing to go into rehab or enter a twelve-step program, as that would require me to give up Adam completely, like an alcoholic has to give up drinking, period. Nope, ain't gonna do that. Instead, I am gonna give myself a good attitude adjustment. Three years ago my life was looking rather dull; black and white. Adam sang "Mama" and the world changed to technicolor. That's a good thing. I'm gonna enjoy the new music whenever Adam graces us with it. In the meantime, I'm gonna take my paint and brushes and maybe a little glitter, and find other stuff to glamorize. Profound, Cassie. Adam has enriched our lives and introduced so much excitement, anticipation, and new friends into them that we’ve become dependent on him/it. I’m the worst offender. However, things are going to happen in their own time, no matter our feelings and wishes, so maybe we should take a step back and try (really hard) to remember how we filled our time and maintained our lives BEFORE “Mama.....” I just yesterday told my son I couldn’t make use of his beautiful, secluded, peaceful lake house for a few weeks (all to myself after 2 months of hustle and bustle of visiting my daughter, sil, and 3 grandkids with all the happy mayhem that entails) because it doesn’t have Wifi. Three years ago, I would have, and sometimes did, jump at the chance. Still not sure I can be away from Adam and y’all for that long, but maybe I’ll compromise and drive the 18 miles to the nearest civilization (McDonalds) every other day. I’m taking a deep breath and considering it.I mostly just lurk here daily (mostly because I don't have much to add) and post other places... but I needed to relay my summer experience to you. This summer I went to visit the in laws. They live in a little town right next to Canada and have no wifi or cell coverage at all. In order to get any wifi I had to cross to US/Canadian border and find starbucks. Ugh. What I found is that very, very little happened during that time that I couldn't catch up on for a 1/2 hour every few days & thanks to Atop doing so was sooooooo easy. It was so worth disconnecting for a few weeks.

My feeling about Eber's comment trust your gut... was that Adam should go with what feels right to him.. Artistic vision possibly over bottom line vision of RCA. Interesting comment by Doughtry when he got approval for his cd.by record company.. He was so happy to finally get the approval. Apparently Adam isn't in total charge of what gets to be on his second album. No artist is in total charge of what is on his/her album unless he/she is on their own label. RCA is the boss! Trust your gut is a wonderful thing to say and sounds like encouragement, but "defend' is my concern. After reading this thread.. I could only imagine what type of twitter responses Adam got.. couldn't the defend also have to do with Adam's own fans? ETA: LOL I just saw that someone else posted almost exactly the same thing.. thats one reason I don't post here that often.
