Isn't the music business all about singles now? That's what I keep hearing anyway, so I don't get what the problem is. Since he tweeted a while back about laying vocals on 3 singles, it looks like they are going to bring the singles out hoping one or two will stick and then the album will get better sales because of the single or singles. Adam's new management probably wants to launch this album the way they launch Katy Perry. I'm not worried but then I don't have real high expectations that Adam will ever be a Katy Perry or Lady Gaga type seller here in the gay hating US of A. It is a singles market...but album sales are always a plus! ;)Albums do still sell and the singles usually, but not always, help drive the album sales. It is harder for male Pop singers right now, unless you are one of the male artist who leans towards the urban and R&B side of pop. The large majority of artists don't ever come close to the types of numbers Katy or Gaga are putting up. The fact that Adam doesn't have the type of numbers that these two have, has nothing to do with the fact that there are gay haters in the USA. |

I love this because I think I have just gotten into the "step back and think clearly" mode. (Maybe it was my shower?)
I am fine now. In my thinking clearly mode, as long as RCA doesn't fuck up the first single, everything will be OK! ;D

You are correct. You need to be a member and be logged in to post. However, if you were a member and decided you didn't want to be any more (tho' why anyone would decide that is beyond me), your old posts from when you were a member would still appear on the thread. But, since the avi and other info like # of posts is constantly updated and retroactive, the former member's info would now say "guest." Or, at least that is my understanding. But today at 7:16 am a post showed an unclickable username and the "title" guest immediately upon being posted. Post here.- clickable. |
