Isn't the music business all about singles now? That's what I keep hearing anyway, so I don't get what the problem is. Since he tweeted a while back about laying vocals on 3 singles, it looks like they are going to bring the singles out hoping one or two will stick and then the album will get better sales because of the single or singles. Adam's new management probably wants to launch this album the way they launch Katy Perry. I'm not worried but then I don't have real high expectations that Adam will ever be a Katy Perry or Lady Gaga type seller here in the gay hating US of A.

Question- I thought one had to be a member here to be able to post. How is a "guest" able to post? What is a guest anyway? You are correct. You need to be a member and be logged in to post. However, if you were a member and decided you didn't want to be any more (tho' why anyone would decide that is beyond me), your old posts from when you were a member would still appear on the thread. But, since the avi and other info like # of posts is constantly updated and retroactive, the former member's info would now say "guest." Or, at least that is my understanding.

As for Adam's dad's tweet, I think it's very likely he just meant that, as Adam is tweaking this and that and making all kinds of different plans and decisions vis a vis the album, he should keep trusting and asserting himself.

okay...just got through this thread.
first and most importantly - LOVE AND LIGHT FOR A COMPLETE HEALING, GLAMNANA!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOCABABE!!!
.......
I've got to admit that I'm a ledge dweller at the best of times, and my emotions have run the gamut from jumping off to stepping back and laughing at myself. BUT I've got to say one thing.... I love this forum....I love everyone's opinions - and I want to hear them!
Seoulmate's gifs cracked me up this morning and I commiserated with my other fellow jumpers - I also expected and appreciated reading the posts of our calm, rational members...hehe.
What I didn't appreciate was being told (in a rather patronizing way) that any member voicing worry about the delay in Adam's album is silly.
Anyhoo....
Upon reflection, I can wait for the album since a couple of smash singles will likely do more to sell it than a November release date. That said....I've been watching Adam's new twitter followers decline, and although most of you scoff at the David Cook comparison - I'm struck by the similarity of fan rationale concerning the album delay. "I'm happy he's taking the time to make a GREAT album"...and we know how THAT worked out. Just sayin'
I'm rambling and incoherent, sorry... still a bit shell shocked.

And again, people trot out the E word whenever anyone expresses emotion or concern. I've really begun to hate that word, but here, I'll use it again ... People are Entitled to their feelings. No one has a right to tell me I may or may not feel something that I feel. We all have ways of processing. Some need to verbalize frustration, confusion and disappointment. Some need to see the positive. That's great! Many are somewhere in between and it changes by the minute. And like many have said, that's why we're on a board or on Twitter to begin with. To interact with people with like interests and share and flail like crazy and commiserate when necessary. On Twitter it was a combination of people finger-wagging, wanking about wank or doing the "I Told You So" dance. I thought they were more difficult to deal with than the people who were just expressing their honest frustration, anxiety or disappointment in the moment. We will get through it. We always do, but we're allowed to feel whatever we are feeling without others dictating to us what that may be. I am a writer who has worked on deadlines and worked without deadlines. Hate to tell ya, deadlines are MUCH better. And yes, I had people asking me about my novel in that same way and it drove me crazy sometimes but was always touched that they genuinely cared and were rooting for me. The fact of the matter is, it took so long because I WAS second-guessing myself and freaking myself out. This is a luxury an artist isn't afforded when they are committed to other people to deliver a product. That being said, I think the album is very close to done. Someone reminded me of a tweet where he said he would not release the single until album is complete. Sia's tweet also indicates the track listing is finalized. I took Eber's tweet to be any number of things. Maybe the date change was Adam's idea with DMG's urging? I don't know. Since RCA still doesn't have anyone slated for those weeks, I am inclined to believe they may have been pushing for November still. Happy birthday Bocababe!!!!
Please feel better and be good to yourself Glamnana!! ITA agree with this post. While I don't necessarily agree with some people's tendencies to freak out over the tiniest things, I do agree that people are entitled to their feelings and to have other ppl tell you it's not right to have them is effin annoying. I certainly don't agree with everyone here but I am not gonna tell you what to do. But then again in fandom some people like to feel superior to other people and like to act as if they are above worrying and being concerned and generally having moments of being human where your heart and brain aren't exactly on the same wavelength. They get off on it. Sticking their noses in the air and telling everyone to chill because--don't worry guisse--they got this! I think it's fine to have a gut reaction of NOOOOOOOOOOHGODWHYTHEHUMANITYNOOOOO as long as you can later step back, think clearly and then realize it's out of your hands and whatever will be will be. And frankly, save for a few fear mongering *fans* (i.e. concern trollers) most of fandom is pretty level headed.... most. After some heavy sedatives that is...LOL.

I took a very quick look into Adam's Tweeter feed - it looks quite positive/encouraging at the moment... was there a freak-out earlier? I hope not! As a note- the Russian language tweets are plenty and those I saw are encouraging :D
