Look, I'm not telling anyone that what they feel is wrong, but all if this is just speculation. You can make yourself crazy dwelling on the negative. A great mentor once told me " stay out of your head, it's a bad neighborhood. " I think what she meant was once you start trying to guess the outcome of your greatest fears you only give them more power. I choose to speculate this is all positive for Adam. I know that's not always easy but it' slot less stressful. Besides, I think it's true. JMHO. What I was trying say with a bad joke (but good pic!) a few pages back. I guess I like people to be happy and I know, for a fact, after living MY life that worry before the fact is often worse than the fact! I think with all the staning I have done with Adam that whatever is thrown at him, he WILL make lemonade! He has too many people in his corner that believe in him for the music to stop. I do want it all, and I do want it now. But... will have to wait I guess...  |

Sigh. Oh, well. I am desperate for new music from Adam. I NEED new music from Adam. But, I have needed new music from Adam all of 2011. The thing about my obsession is, I am so enamored by the man and his music that I am insatiable. I can barely remember when I wasn't. When the new single comes out I will play it excessively for a few weeks and then look around and say, "Okay, what's next?" When the new album comes out (in Jan, Feb, March, April???) I will be in seventh heaven and play it non-stop on my iPod for a month or two, and then look around and say, "Okay, what's next?" Wait ANOTHER two years for album #3? I'll never survive! The plain truth is I cannot get enough of Adam. There is no way that he can give enough interviews, appear on enough TV programs, release enough music, tweet enough twats to satiate me for more than a short period of time. The problem is entirely mine, not Adam's. So, I will have to find a way to deal with my addiction. I am not willing to go into rehab or enter a twelve-step program, as that would require me to give up Adam completely, like an alcoholic has to give up drinking, period. Nope, ain't gonna do that. Instead, I am gonna give myself a good attitude adjustment. Three years ago my life was looking rather dull; black and white. Adam sang "Mama" and the world changed to technicolor. That's a good thing. I'm gonna enjoy the new music whenever Adam graces us with it. In the meantime, I'm gonna take my paint and brushes and maybe a little glitter, and find other stuff to glamorize. I haven't totally caught up yet, but great post Cassie! Pretty much my thoughts exactly. First reaction when I saw the headline was " Oh No!!" but that was really being selfish because I'm SO looking forward to his new music. But, it is what it is, and there's nothing I can do about it, so I'm not going to worry. No one is more invested in Adam's career than Adam, so I trust him and the people around him to make the best possible decisions for this to work out to Adam's upmost advantage. At least we'll have a single to look forward to and the promo that goes along with that. It's not all bad!  |

I KNOW!! but njoytheride has a point. Maybe there will be two singles before the release. and appearances, and promos and lalalalalala. And I haven't read the thread either. Not angsting, just irritated at the delay. I'm really glad I have a concert to look forward to tonight. My friend is getting my partner and I in to see Santana for FREE at ACL Live! a new cool venue downtown and, thanks the msquisty, I've got a ticket to the Austin City Limits Festival this weekend where Stevie Wonder is headlining. So imma go do that for awhile, enjoy some other tunes and continue waiting as patiently as possible. Love the new LOLLY, Hoppers! And amw, Santana and Stevie--YAY!! Sounds like a fine way to pass the time. I saw Santana last 4th of July in a pouring rainstorm and loved every second of it! Haven't had the pleasure of seeing Stevie live yet, but love his songs. I'm outta here too for now, but looking forward to Cassidy's listening party tonight (and Sia on Jimmy Kimmel) and Husbands premiere tomorrow, and more tweets plus Majors+Minors plus new single from Adam and the Parlotones in SF on Nov. 1. Anything else will be icing! Oh, yeah, and Project Runway! |
