I'm not worried about an early 2012 release. In fact it makes me more excited. That means he's really taking his time and making sure this album is everything he wants it to be.
By doing that he allows the producers to do their jobs and the A&R people to set up radio promotion.
Also, by releasing in early 2012 he's almost guaranteed a performance spot on Idol to promote the album. Maybe like Kelly had in 2009 when she released her last album in March. She had the #1 album two weeks running and it's almost sold 1 million in the U.S.
I know the worry is that people will forget about him like they did Cook but Adam hasn't gone anywhere. He's still heavily featured in the media, he's still connecting with fans, he has upcoming appearances on television shows, etc.
He'll get a single out probably early/mid October and promote the hell out of it for November sweeps week on television leading right into a January release of the album. Then his next single he'll appear on idol to perform and he might even be in a positon to appear on the finale with his third single.
I trust Adam and the professionals around him to know the market and know what they are doing. I don't worry about these things because I can't control them. I'll buy the album no matter when it's released.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall listening to Adam, Neil and Eber discuss the album. Adam trusts their opinion I am sure as they have a love of music like Adam.

I want to be positive about Adam's album coming out in 2012 but I'm deflated. I have listened to all of his Youtube music and of course his album endlessly. I feel starved for new music and I wonder if people will forget him. Will he have to start all over again,to become known, etc.I wish they would go the Katy Perry way and keep putting out new singles ,rather than wait for an album. Timing is everything and I just don't get this timing.Where is the momentum??Sorry for being a downer, but I really am disappointed.

F**********************CK! How about "The album is so good and it probably has 3 potential GREAT singles, and we need to make the best of it, so we're gonna release the singles and when the albums drops, the sales will be HUGE? " :D (hiding now, I probably wouldn't say anything more, cause I have no clue. The only thing I know is that I trust him)

Ok, I'm going with this point of view: if I had to choose between having an album in 2011 or Adam experiencing love, happiness and balance in his RL so he can continue performing and creating in the long run...I choose door #2. Adam is not David Cook, Adam is Adam. Remember our Elvis discussion a few days/weeks ago? Amy Winehouse?
You know us, once we get the single, we'll want the video. Then the album, then, when can I buy tickets for the tour? We are insatiable. Adam is one man, practically perfect in every way. He's got another special date to celebrate (and savor) in November with Sauli, remember? Yay!!!
