Ouch.....just read The Guardian review...2 stars and not many good things to say. Off to read the other 2 reviews. There are 37 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, also Variety. Like most rock bio-pics, some/perhaps most of the band's fans will love it; critics for the most part are not loving it. www.rottentomatoes.com/m/bohemian_rhapsody/

Ouch.....just read The Guardian review...2 stars and not many good things to say. Off to read the other 2 reviews. The other two reviews weren't that great either. Both say it's superficial and doesn't dig deep enough into Freddie. Bohemian Rhapsody is fun but entirely superficial, playing it safe rather than trying to be as bold or brazen as its larger-than-life subject. It ultimately relies on the magnetism of Rami Malek’s portrayal of Freddie Mercury and Queen’s bombastic, beloved music to make up for its narrative shortcomings and by-the-numbers direction. The movie never quite digs as deep into what made Freddie tick as it could have, focusing on how he made his music rather than on a deeper examination of his personal relationships. the movie, despite its electrifying subject, is a conventional, middle-of-the-road, cut-and-dried, play-it-safe, rather fuddy-duddy old-school biopic, a movie that skitters through events instead of sinking into them. And it treats Freddie’s personal life — his sexual-romantic identity, his loneliness, his reckless adventures in gay leather clubs — with kid-gloves These bloody reviews change nothing for me, still excited to see this movie. I rarely agree with the critics anyway! Brian and Roger are proud of this movie and they lived it. This was the story they wanted told! ![](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/adamthumbsup.gif)

Sounds like one of those movies that the critics will pick apart but the audiences will love. I have a feeling I'm going to love it. And of course, I'll be looking for Adam in all his cameo glory!

I need to talk about something that I'm feeling rather sad about. I'm very happy for Brian and Roger that the movie is getting such great response. I feel like Adam is being left out of everything, I don't think he was invited to go to the London premiere. They have had such little publicity for 6 years of amazing concerts and to see this unbelievable amount of press regarding this movie just makes me feel like Adam had been slighted. I just wish that somehow Adam had been included in this more. Adam's comment about being a C list star makes me wonder if he really doesn't feel like the frontman for queen but more of a cover band singer. I understand that the movie is primarily about Freddie's life but Adam has brought Freddie's Legacy and Queen's Legacy to life over the last several years. He gave Queen a new found life that without Adam I don't believe would really exist at this level. I don't know, feeling sad
I am certain Adam could have gone to the London Premiere. Certain.
I am also certain Adam was joking when he making that comment about being a C list star. He refers to himself as Queen's current frontman, so I don't think there is anything else going on with that comment.
I agree about the premiere. Tyler was invited but is on tour and Spike was there. I’m sure the NYC premiere is more convenient for him.

I wonder if Adam's name will be in the credits? It's a small role but he IS the band's front man and should get some official recognition. At least that's how I see it. I'd love to see his name listed in the cast.

I'd love to see his name listed in the cast. I think that is based on having a speaking part but forgive me if I’m wrong about that. It would be based on SAG rules and the studio and not Bri or Rog.

I hope it does OK at the box office....hopefully worldwide it will.
Q3.....Do Brian and Roger have their own money invested in this movie? I have no idea how that works...their relationship with Fox/Regency, etc. I noticed somebody posted recently an article showing that they've spent quite a lot on promo/ads, etc....can't remember the figure.
From all indications folks seem to think that A Star Is Born will sweep the Oscars (I haven't seen it). I hope at least Rami will be nominated.

Thoughtful interview with Rami Malek. Just a few minutes, but I think the questions are good. Lol, the interviewer is so nervous. I find that Rami Malek holds up well under all that new-found interview stress he is presently under.
