I hope it does OK at the box office....hopefully worldwide it will. Q3.....Do Brian and Roger have their own money invested in this movie? I have no idea how that works...their relationship with Fox/Regency, etc. I noticed somebody posted recently an article showing that they've spent quite a lot on promo/ads, etc....can't remember the figure. From all indications folks seem to think that A Star Is Born will sweep the Oscars (I haven't seen it). I hope at least Rami will be nominated. I saw A Star Is Born a couple of weeks ago and Gaga is very good but Bradley Cooper is sensational. It will do well at the Oscars I'm sure! Rami is getting good reviews so we'll see!

We've seen this look before. He dressed up as Dusty (don't remember the last name) when he was incognito?

Sounds like one of those movies that the critics will pick apart but the audiences will love. I have a feeling I'm going to love it. And of course, I'll be looking for Adam in all his cameo glory! I'll reserve judgement until I see it. The reviews were not glowing(except for Rami). But I did not find them that bad. They should understand that it is a PG13 movie because they wanted everyone to be able to see and it. But I have heard some people gripe that unless the movie showed Freddie in many sex scenes with men, it would mean they were hiding his sexuality and they were uninterested. I guess they are only interested in his sex life. To me it simply means they are treating him as a whole person and telling a complex story. Like everyone one else, there was more to him than just his sex life and the bar scene. I hope it does well at the box office even if it is not deep or revealing enough for the critics.

I think people are misunderstanding some of my comments. I believe that Brian and Roger truly love Adam and think he's a gift from God as do all of us. I've just been sad after hearing him refer to himself as C list. My comment is more that I wish he were getting half the recognition for what he's doing as the movie is getting. I never said that I thought he was a cover band but obviously there are those that do which really irks me because he is the frontman for Queen in every way. Excited to go see the movie, everyone reporting seems to love it. Adam is an A list artist, but a C list celebrity, which is actually a good thing. It means that every burp he makes doesn't end up in some entertainment news, and he isn't sieged by paparazzi all day long from the moment he steps out of the house. He still gets a fair amount of interest, because he IS a celebrity, and yet he can do his own thing and not worry too much of it going public.

I think it is not a bad thing that Adam didn't show up at the London Bohemian Rhapsody premiere - it probably can't hurt for him to be missed a little. My sentiments about the movie... I am not super invested, but I hope it does well. After all, Queen and Adam want to tour again and I would like them to be well received.

Queen has had a tradition of getting bad reviews in the past (not QAL!). So everything is as usual. 😉 The film seems to be mostly about the musician Freddie and Queen and not so much about his private life. Some press isn’t OK with that. They wanted a „deep“ and very personal bio pic of Freddie. And they didn’t get that, because his friends didn’t let that happen. Freddie was a private man. He would not have wanted the world to see that. The press haunted him back in the days, now some of them might have hoped to get the juicy parts. I think Brian, Roger (and other friends involved) have accomplished their mission! And from fans, who‘ve already seen the film, I‘ve only heard positive reactions. All is good! 😁
