I love Adam, his voice, his personality, his courage and his determination. I am for Adam &Adamtopia. Yesterday ,I raged ,I sulked ,I threatened . I have never been so invested in an entertainer before. It's kind of like the old song" YOU made me love you" I didn't want to do it.I didn't want to do it. Well I did it and I'm not going ,I'm staying,Because you, you, you made me love you..' Dream Girls' So to Adam and my peeps..I still love you all and until you throw me out ,I'm here for the long haul.

Or you could just "Turn it Off, like a light bulb..." www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8uAYcLYEFI Thanks, Tigerlily! Got my day off to a good chuckling start..but I'll be humming that sucker all day..is that what is known as a 'hook' in music?? lol It's a Broadway song! They are usually over dramatic, but this whole musical is a parody of sorts- so the songs are extra OTT. Very tongue in cheek. I especially love the part about the boy on boy crush at 2:13! If you like Broadway music, and aren't bothered by explicit lyrics, this is an AMAZING cd!

Hi Guys, I was gone again for a few days, and just caught up on yesterday's news and all the feelings it brought forth. It does seem, as tinafea said, that people are emotionally hung over. Hope people don't mind if I change the subject a bit. What's up with the pennyroyal peace sign necklace that benefits the Trevor Project? Are fans trying to reach the goal, encouraging one another, or just not putting much energy into it? I noticed that pennyroyal currently says $28,170 has been raised and the goal is $75,000 (to reach the Adam-has-raised-$1Mil-for-charity mark), and there are only a few days left. As for me, I want to try to push this project along a bit because the Trevor Project deserves the support, Adam wants this necklace to provide them with significant funds, and pennyroyal won't release the key necklace, which so many fans want, until the peace sign necklace reaches its goal (or is it just until it reaches the end of its order period?). Anyway, I want to offer some encouragement for people to order a peace sign necklace, or, perhaps a second one to use as a gift! I am not a collector type, but I have wound up with a few pieces of Adamobilia that someone may be interested in owning. I am going to offer these things as "premiums" (like PBS or NPR) for necklace orders. I have 2 premiums to offer: Premium #1: The poster that came with the Acoustic Live album. This poster has never been removed from the shipping tube. Premium#2: The Rolling Stone magazine (June 25, 2009) with Adam on the cover with snake on his leg AND a group of things from the "pre-party" that was held at the Palomino before the 7/23/10 Glam Nation show at the Warfield in SF. The magazine cover has a small printing flaw, a spot on Adam's neck where the ink is smudged, as if the magazine was placed in a stack before the ink was completely dry. The items from the pre-party are a small poster (has been folded, and never had very good graphics), a post card of Adam blowing a kiss with lightstick with pre-party info photoshopped on his hand, 2 photo buttons (about 2 inch diameter, not the best graphic/production...) a small package of eye of horus temporary tattoos (apparently something made by the On the Meaning Of Adam Lambert people), and 4 lightsticks with "Glam nation SF Warfield 7/23/10" printed on them (2 used/popped, 2 never used). If someone is interested in purchasing a necklace and receiving one of these premiums, please PM me. Basically, you and I make an agreement, you then purchase from pennyroyal, I mail you the premium. Wish I had more premiums to offer. I really would like the Trevor Project to get the full $75,000 Adam and pennyroyal had in mind. peace&love Nonotme I've wanted to do more for this too, but haven't been able to figure out how. With Charity Water's posting board, one could do challenges and 'auctions' or raffles - and see people making their contributions as proof. I would be willing to match a small number of pendant purchases (not so much the silver/silver one lol - the price of the pendants is a bit daunting or I'd buy them for the kids I counsel but can't buy for some and not all :(). I've wracked my brain but couldn't think of a way to promote Pennyroyal Peace Pendant Trevor Project effort. If you come up w/some ideas, feel free to pm me. Or if someone thinks there's a time for an effective live journal effort. I'll help if I can.

Perhaps I'm being a Pollyanna here (I have been accused of that over and over in my RL), but I refuse to believe that there are negative consequences in this for Adam. I'm 100% with people on the disappointment factor. Maybe even 1000%. But. We've commented here before- many, many times- that Adam has a remarkable guardian angel. How many times have we been panicked about how dreadful the fallout over something or another was going to be? It's almost never happened (except for the UK bad PR thing, which made his first appearance in that market somewhat underwhelming). I used to make myself sick with every new "gate" until I finally figured out that the worry was always shortsighted and accomplished nothing more than to make me unhappy. I may have laughed about being "zen" yesterday, but this calm has been truly hard won. Based on my past experience with Adam, this will turn out just as fine as everything else. I'll fill my time with RL stuff I've been ignoring and recalibrate the start of my crazy flailing. I'll download the single the absolute second it becomes available, I'll make all my friends listen to it so I can try to get them to download it. I'll watch (and record) every single bit of PR that he does. I threw more money at him just today (I finally ordered my Peace pendant), and I'll throw more money at him when they release the Key pendant (the one I'm dying for). And I will be happy watching him be happy (although I could do with some new pap pics, please!). His personal life is full, he's been writing and recording with the industry folks that he's been saying he wants to work with. Everyone who meets him continues to gush about him being the fabulous man we all know him to be. He has enough money to fly to BM and have a fancy RV waiting for him. He loves his house and having friends and family over. There's plenty for me to 'bert about. So, I know nothing. And I could give my long, Pollyanna based list of why this could all turn out to be a good thing in the long run, and it would be just as much speculation as the fear that the delay could turn out to be a bad thing. But the universe has been good to him in so many ways. As keyboard said a bit ago, he is now assured of being a part of this industry, in one form or another, for as long as he wants it. The rest will take care of itself. So, please, enjoy this picture of happy Adam. Just looking at him makes me feel better.

wow IDEk what to say. I'm not judging feelings etc... but wow. A slight change of plans in what was more fan speculation than anything else and long time supporters are so disillusioned they have lost enthusiasm for Adam? I'm just baffled by this. Sorry. I think I'm going to take a break till the new single comes out. I feel completely derailed by this POV more than any delay in the album TBQH. Exactly! I am also completely derailed by this POV. Think I'll leave this place for a while also. Don't need all the negativity. Geez! :

Okay, so. It looks like there are two schools of doom & gloom here:
1) Those who feel personally defeated, who are disappointed that after two years of waiting, the end still isn't nigh. My take: It really sucks to be you. Really, I feel for you. Fortunately, on a larger scale of things, it's all in your head. You'll get over it or you won't.
2) Those who are concerned that the new release date will F up the album sales, or that the pushed release date is a sign of discordance between Adam and RCA. My take: If his first single is a hit, the album will sell okay no matter when it's released. If the single bombs, he's screwed. The first week sales are important, but it's also important that the album keeps selling still six months after its release.
If one doesn't get the best release date, longevity is the key. Now Adam and his team will have the time to produce the best stuff they can, and release a second single before the album release if the fist single will lose steam too early (or doesn't take off altogether, like FYE) And I DO believe that RCA and his team has Adam's best in mind.
For his career to last and develop, Adam doesn't need the black friday shoppers with money to burn. What he needs are excellent singles that are played in the radio like mofo.

Hey, y'all, I'm seeing much more positivity than negativity lately! (As someone on twitter said yesterday, "I'm seeing more wank about the wank than I'm seeing wank.") I read something I thought was interesting. In this interview about Cheek's new webseries, "Husbands", Cheeks said this: Quote: "...... But there is sort of a culture in the gay community built around ’You don’t look like me, or dress like me, you’re not the right kind of gay. You don’t fit in here!’ And that’s terrible! It’s terrible to discriminate against boys that aren’t doing the club thing and it’s also terrible to discriminate against boys who are. And I wanted to have that unity in the script, and I wanted to have both sides represented. There are gay guys like this, and there are gay guys like that, and it takes all kinds.” www.tor.com/blogs/2011/09/jane-espenson-and-cheeks-discuss-writing-husbandsIt reminds me of Adam saying how acceptance WITHIN the gay community is needed.
