The guy is a major talent, even though he is clearly extraterrestrial. We appreciated his persona – so unambiguously sexually ambiguous. The fact that us geezers thought he was a real phenom certainly says something. I hope that doesn’t ruin him for you. Lots of love, Dad Rabbitrabbit, I think I'm in love with your dad!!! LOL at his remark "hope that doesn't ruin him for you"; he does sound like Eber...

Heh, so I sent my folks a Glam Nation Live DVD for a gift awhile ago and they finally got around to watching it. Some background, I hadn't told them hardly anything about him at all, maybe I sent a youtube once?, and they aren't TV watchers. For my dad imagine Eber about 10 years older, and that's basically him (into the same kind of music plus blues and opera, politically probably even further to the left.) Here's his email: So, your rickety old folks finally put on the Adam Lambert DVD last night and were really impressed. The guy is a major talent, even though he is clearly extraterrestrial. We appreciated his persona – so unambiguously sexually ambiguous. Gay, sure. It is impressive that he seems more comfortable in his own skin than most of his straight contemporaries. And the voice and strange timbre and range are something I have never heard the like of. Gay glam rock is a bit too Weimar Republic/techno-commercial/self-absorbed/devoid-of-social commentary (at least in that concert) for my taste. The fact that us geezers thought he was a real phenom certainly says something. I hope that doesn’t ruin him for you. Lots of love, Dad THAT IS CLASSIC!!! "Extraterrestrial!" That should be one of our Sunday Atop essays.
