For those who are concerned about lost sales - it is possible that if the single is doing well by holiday shopping time, that there will be extra sales of FYE and GNT Live. My Target still has both in stock. I check every few weeks and the number is always changing (ie. 5 FYE, 2 GNT, then 2 FYE, 5 GNT, then maybe 3 of each) so I am assuming they are still selling some and restocking. If people hear the new single and like it, they may buy his "old" stuff at Xmas if that is what is in the stores. Maybe it will help put FYE into Platinum and GNT into Gold status.

All we can hope is that in the end Adam puts out an album that is so good that eventually any lost sales he would have gotten from Black Friday will be made up down the line and ten times over....I think, for FYE he did a pretty amazing job and threw together a pretty great, eclectic, un Idol-ish debut within amazing time constraints, so I can only imagine how great an album from him will be when he actually has time to breathe and write and create and focus on the vocals all while working with top notch hitmakers. Add in some new management who knows what the fuck to do to get the job done, and well in the end...whatever happens...we can't say he didn't try his damnedest.
Yeah my initial reaction was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO but then it quickly morphed into an Oh well. Meh. Others will progress at different paces...it is what it is.

Hug back to you, Mys*&@^#r! Stardust, I did wonder about donations for those that would like to go that route. Rabbitrabbit, I remembered the donation page you set up and wondered if there was some way to promote it more.
Thanks Rabbitrabbit and, apparently, Midwifespal via PM, for answering Mika. I like Rabbitrabbit's ideas. Can we set up that gifting thread? Every little bit helps! And how might we generate interest in donating. Maybe as fans we can sort of redefine the goal to be match the number of eye-of-horus pendants sold AND donate some set amount directly to Trevor Project via Rabbitrabbit's page. We'd have to really hit the social media to get the word out. Would that be possible? Any thoughts? More ideas? Mika do you have social media strengths we can use?

I'm still offering the Adamobilia as premiums to encourage people to purchase the peace pendant (see my post approx page 6), but would like to add a third possible premium:
I will write a custom wedding ceremony (or renewal of vows or commitment/union) for you or a friend/family member. I have written and performed many, many ceremonies. I write beautiful, personalized, memorable ceremonies. The couple in need of a ceremony could consult with me via phone, then email, until we create a ceremony that is just what they want. Csharpminor, Cookie, Gelly, may I join you with my glass full?  Of course!! And then EVERYONE will jump in! :D I'm one of optimists here! I choose not to worry about things that are not "in my hands". I can't choose the things that happen to me in life, but I can choose my attitude to things that happen to me in life. It's up to me, how I react. And I choose to concentrate on positive things. I know I can wait. I know I'm happy when I can listen to Adam's next single. I don't know, if I like it, but I know, I like the fact that there's something new.  |
