Like everyone else, I'm still processing, processing, but am definitely in optimistic mode. I think what makes it challenging is that we're in a quiet period and didn't know much about promo plans, and then we got the news about the new album release date. But then I look at Adam's tweets and I feel better: @adamlambert Adam Lambert And FYI I'm working hard this week and next to finish up all these amazing new tunes ! Can you add in the leg wiggling one? I love that one too. I just spent the last 40 minutes looking for the stupid thing, but I'm at work (I have it on my computer at home) and I'm not having much luck googling it. Does anyone else (Gelly, I'm really looking at you) have it? You know the one- the interview with Perez where he admits he's dating and his leg is jiggling and his smile could light up a football stadium? ETA: Oh, look! Gelly now reads minds! This is one of those .... what did Adam call it? Dry feed? Where there is not any enhancement on the sound system, just his voice, unaltered. The type Adam said doesn't sound good for anyone. I beg to differ. He sounds great here. So clear, spot on, that you almost believe he is lip-syching, but he's not. And such a stunning, fierce video. Thanks for this reminder of how good he sounds when his voice is front and center. And we will have an album of that???? Oooooo, I'm gonna love it! |

For those who are concerned about lost sales - it is possible that if the single is doing well by holiday shopping time, that there will be extra sales of FYE and GNT Live. My Target still has both in stock. I check every few weeks and the number is always changing (ie. 5 FYE, 2 GNT, then 2 FYE, 5 GNT, then maybe 3 of each) so I am assuming they are still selling some and restocking. If people hear the new single and like it, they may buy his "old" stuff at Xmas if that is what is in the stores. Maybe it will help put FYE into Platinum and GNT into Gold status. Yes! Yes! And wouldn't we flail about that? LOL. |

So everyone knows, the hugs abounding are equal opportunity hugs. I don't see two camps here..the optomists and the doomers. I see a community of people in various stages of process. Wouldn't it be nice to congratulate one another that we are courageous enough to be aware to know we ARE in process? Each stage of a process is learning and you never get it done..it keeps evolving..that, to me is what keeps Atop vital.  Just a thought... |

These are the words I've clung to the last couple of days and they are the words that I will cling to until I hear the first single.
