I teach 8th graders, too. I really love my job. It keeps me balanced and 90% young-ish, lol.

WARNING: POSITIVE THOUGHTS FOLLOW. SCROLL IF YOU WISH.
Regarding the release time-frames. Although it is disappointing because I want new music, I think there are a number of positives. 1. The oft-mentioned time needed for the single to gain momentum is made easier. 2. If the record company needs a delay to handle the release properly, then yay. Also, I can't see any reason why they would be "toying" with Adam. That is not their history with him. He has loyal fans, and RCA/Sony has released interim recordings/DVD to appease us. Why would they want to screw him over? He is their "product" and they want him to succeed and make money. (Okay, there is a negative. If they DID send him back to revise/rewrite because they weren't happy with enough of the songs, that is sad for Adam in the short term. But, his continued work would probably improve the music. We know he is a quick learner and this is his first time writing music at this level.) 3. If his new management wants more time for a proper, more effective roll out, then, again, fabulous! I'm all for it. 4. If Adam needs more time, then double fabulosity! We know the quality of his work, especially when he has lived with songs for a while. Even if he doesn't need more time and is feeling that he is being delayed for corporate reasons, he will make good use of the extra time by tweaking, etc. I like that. Well, probably no one read all that. I'm not usually this verbose. But as others have said, one reason for these boards is to unload and process. So I did. Now back to getting my own work done. Gotta face a pack of 8th graders tomorrow. Toodles. I love positive thoughts! I didn't scroll one little bit!

Yeah! That's been my point of view once the first hour of WTF was over. Not given it a moment's concern since. Anxious for new music and hearing Adam talk, but not worried. He'll work it out.

Something else to keep in mind, Adam isn't the only RCA artist that has had His album dates pushed around. There has been a lot of changes at RCA this summer. There's been restructuring and mergers and lot of internal changes with staff. At this point Daughtry and Nickelback can fight it out the week of Black Friday, but Susan Boyle is probably going to be #1 on Billboard the whole month of November. Plus Justin Bieber tweeted that He's releasing His Christmas album in November, and He usually sells decent to His devouted fans. Kelly posted May 2011 that Her single was suppose to be released in July and it wasn't released until August 30th www.facebook.com/kellyclarkson/post...150200477369561. . Monica (R&B) singer with RCA has had Her album release dates moved all over the place recently. Back in July it was comfirmed for Oct 25th. Then it was changed to November 8th on August 30th. Yesterday it was reported that she now has a release date of November 29th. www.rcamusicgroup.com/artists/monicapulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?...;page=5#3529921. . Britney Spears was moved from Jive to RCA, and you know RCA is going to give Britney tons of promotion and radio play. Her new single "Criminal" has an adds date: October 10th pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?...532&page=13

Here's my take on things, for what it's worth. I have faith. I believe in Adam. 1. He's slowly but surely becoming this great artist we all knew he will once become. He's tackled so many hurdles over the years and despite all the obstacles, he's here, entertaining us. Resistance is futile. 2. He seems to be happy with the music and he gets to write (at least most) of it. I KNOW I WILL LOVE IT. For it's Adam; I just can't help myself.... LOL, resistance IS futile. 3. He has made his mark in the industry; people he meets and works with fawn over him and he continues to be a media magnet, even when there's no news.... He's socially relevant. And gets referenced in school books. LOL 4. His management and record label will want him to succeed, they will release his music internationally. The better the roll-out, promo, etc. the more money they'll make on their investment and the better foundation is built for Adam #3. Despite the haste in producing FYE, they mostly did a good job. Now, with the new management & RCA/Jive restructuring, they'll surely need to revise/reschedule the plans. Normal business procedure, IMO. Personally, I'm quite leaning towards the 2 singles release plan, depending how everything goes. 5. Adam and his music and his happiness & Sauli and well-being and dimmers etc. are important to me. BUT. Atop and the lovely, intelligent individuals and great personalities are just as important to me. It will not be the same, if we can not share this roller-coaster ride together, sit on the fence, flail and grieve over silly things. EVERYBODY, please stay. Tend to RL, run a few laps or read a book, but PLEASE come back. It will not be the same without you!!! Wanna share this happy face with you. Don't ya wanna see what Reihmer is going to find us next??? There's nothing like a smiling Adam to make life worthwhile .... and family and world peace, of course, but mostly Adam. God! I was going to delete this post but instead I'll add a disclaimer: I am SUCH A GIRL when it comes to Adam. I'm trying to be embarrassed but can't do it. As long as my lifeguard buddies don't know, I'm safe.

A jollier thought... What do y'all think? My bet: with the new schedule, Adam is in Finland for a white Christmas! Resident Fins: it's a little early, I know, and may seem obscene to, for example, our poor central texans in their 105 degree heat, but what's christmas like in Finland/Helsinki? I'll bet it's pretty damn magical, and I, like Adam, am a "diet Jew." judging by northern Germany, which is the Christmas tradition I know best, through my mom, those northern Europeans do it right! One of my first thoughts (rationalizations ) was it would be great if he could take time over the holidays to spend Christmas with Sauli and his family. I think Sauli has been a great partner to Adam's sanity and enthusiasm these last few months. Grounding can be very helpful in such a heady atmosphere.

He makes me stupidly happy, and honestly if the people I work with could see that my happy place is a set of pictures of Adam and Adam & Sauli....well I'm not sure what they would think.

Bet he does go to Finland over the holidays. Tack it onto European promo....does Sauli really need to periodically go home to maintain visa status....not sure where I read that. But it was on the internet so it must be true.
