No but I don't think that matters, they don't need my input. I can, but now I know why you don't understand my point of view

So, elaevans. I see that you that you registered on Adamtopia only two hours ago which is intriguing. Most posters here have been around a while but it is always nice to get new active members. Certainly there are many divergent viewpoints about Adam among our regular members and we try our best to respect all the various opinions and specific interests.
Why don't you tell us your Adam fan origin story and what you find so compelling about him that you would join a fan board.

Cher has already had a 50 yr career. Barbara Streisand, Toni Bennett, Bette Midler. None wrote their own songs. If you are arguing he's not a better writer because he plays no instrument, possibly. If you are arguing he can't be successful unless he writes, not true. However he doesn't seem interested in just choosing demo songs, so not sure what you are even saying anymore. He's doing it his way, even if that means he's not meeting up to your legend standards. I'm not talking about being successful I'm talking about being a legend. Adam deserves it but somehow he isn't even popular. His lyrics - not so great, but he always is a co-writer so maybe not his fault? Something doesn't work in his case, I'm wondering what. Any ideas? If you believe that Adam cannot compose music (since he does not play instruments), if you believe that he is not a great lyric writer, if you believe he is not popular, then why do you feel he "deserves to be a legend"? Sounds like you don't believe he can be a legend as he is.

Hi, everyone. I'm new here. I LOVE his look, perfect suit, shoes, shirt, scarf. I love it! I saw BR, imo it's not a good movie. Queen's and Freddie' s story deserves better, actors are great but script is the worst part. After BR I thought if Adam wants to be a legend one day he must learn to play the instruments, he must compose his own songs. Maybe that's why his new album isn't ready, he has to wait till somebody else write songs for him. Welcome to Adamtopia! As far as I know, Adam would like longevity but not sure if he ever wished to become a "legend". I have no idea what exactly it takes to become iconic, but I assume that there's no exact blueprint for it. A bit of luck, hard work, and more than one solid skill may help. At this point, I think his singing talent is greater than the success that he already has, but we should not diminish the things that he has already accomplished. Still, he hasn't quite connected with his own music as we were hoping for and I believe there are several reasons for it. I can't wait for his new music and I hope that he will work out all the kinks that keep him from releasing it, if indeed he feels ready.

Short story short - I love American crime story so when I saw The Assassination of G. Versace this year I tried to find out more about leading actor Darren Criss that lead me to 'Glee' and Adam's 'Merry the night' performance blown my mind. I knew a little about him before but not so much. This summer I was in London and I've decided to go to Queen concert. I was blown away, so next day I went again. And now I'm trying to catch up with everything, not easy, almost 10 years...I'm a fan of his voice but his solo music not so much. I love his fashion sense and that he seems so down to earth. I hope that his new album will be more rock'n'roll.

It is pretty funny. All these great writers/composers playing their instruments who are not very famous or making millions on their solo headlining tours or fronting Queen. There is no guarantee that playing an instrument or writing solo was going to get Adam more radio play in the US (that is how you get a hit). All BS. He would still be right where he is now. But that is not a bad place to be. Some could only dream while they play for little money and recognition. True but I have problem with him touring with Queen. He's doing amazing job but it's not creative, he's not Freddie it's more about money. If you want to be Queen without Freddie write new songs with Adam, but oops he can't compose... Adam is not going to ask any posters for permission to tour with Queen. If some don't like it they can stay home. Adam does not need to be Freddie. He died 27 years ago and who knows what he would be doing today if he had lived? I am more than happy with Adam being Adam Lambert. And I have loved the songs Adam co-wrote far better than that song by Bruno or those by Dr. Luke. So your opinion of his writing is your opinion but I don't agree with it. He creates with his songs for his solo work even if not for Queen. His creativity is not erased because he and Queen have passed on that idea. And I will say it again, there are song-writers and composers playing to 100 people in some dive. Some supporters of those people and are always trying to dismiss Adam. But no one pays any attention to them because he is still making more money and more in demand and more famous than they are.
