It always amazes me when some folks are so impressed by the company Adam keeps at events...Adam is a very famous person in his own right and I'm sure folks are just as impressed to be in the same room with him.I hope someday that some of Adam's fans realize that the man has made it .. Of course he will be with other famous stars..He's one of them! For me, I have always felt that Adam was a celebrity and famous star who has made it. But it is always nice and interesting to see him in the company of other stars. Most of the pictures we see here are with his friends or just hanging out and taking pictures with people we don't know.

Apparently Bohemian Rhapsody did not open in China this weekend. Wonder when it will? Note that the 2016 film A Street Cat Named Bob only opened this weekend in China. But Disney's new Nutcracker film also opened this weekend in China, on schedule with the rest of the world. Will the BR movie be censored in China? Remember how Adam's set list had to get pre-approved before he did concerts in China? @streetcatbob: This is quite incredible news! #3 film in China this weekend! It opened in Russia but with 18+ rating. VOTE! 18+ 🙄. Poor Russia. Here (Germany) it has a FSK 6 rating. I don’t think 6 year olds are usually interested in Queen. But they are allowed to go to the cinema, even without their parents.

Even my brother emailed me with a big headline about the Queen movie being a hit and grossing 50 million. I explained that the movie was made for the fans who are mega embracing it and the movie critics just don't get it!👋 That's interesting because when 95% of the die-hards on Queenzone seemed to hate it. And a bunch of people on Queenonline hating it too. But the people who hated it on Queenzone said that the FB community seemed to love it and from the few comments I have seen, that appears to be the case. A co-worker who is a casual fan took his teenager kids, who also liked Queen. They all liked the movie overall, said his kids now like Queen even more and said his son spent the weekend learning Bohemian Rhapsody on the guitar and piano and watching the Live Aid performance. BTW, co-worker did not recognize Adam even though I told him beforehand he had a cameo. I will probably see it on Thursday.

Big compliment for Bohemian Rhapsody today by Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe on MSNBC. Near the beginning of the show he mentioned he had seen the movie over the weekend and thought it was the best (or one of the best) musician biopics he had ever seen! Then asked around the panel and studio who had seen it. This movie is taking off big time! It is only going to grow from here as the accolades pour in. I am so happy for Queen and everyone involved! I think it is almost a certainty that Rami will be nominated for an Oscar. I recommended the movie on facebook and a friend in Calif went to see it with her husband. She now says she is a Queen fan and her favorite song is Love of My Life. Ohio governor John Kasich was on The View this morning and also raved about going to see Bohemian Rhapsody.

I think this movie is better for people who don’t know as much about the real Queen story/timelines. They aren’t coming in with a critical eye or anything to compare it to. I know it will be difficult for me to leave things at the door with some of the liberties. So maybe not made for the die hard fans, but casual fans or the not yet fans.
But these are the same casual fans who buy concert tickets, so in that regards it’s a win.

They have bought a ticket and put BR in the #1 spot. Those who are long-time devoted Queen fans who know every detail of their history will more likely be bothered by things that are not perfectly accurate. But there is cinematic freedom in making even the best biopic. I don't know all the historical details of Queen. I just know the bare bones due to Adam. I am seeing the film soon and I know I will love it. The movie definitely for fans who love the music and aren't bothered by a few inaccuracies, intentional or otherwise. It's just AMAZING how many people are seeing BR world-wide! They are filling the theaters and loving it!

So I guess it's just how you go to the movie. I also have seen comments that some people had to relax to really enjoy it. I think the really big Queen fans have to let go of those details which are not correct to fully enjoy it. A colleague here in Sweden (24 years old) who likes Queen music but isn't a fan went to the movie last week (because his girlfriend wanted to go) and he told me today that he really loved the movie. He is now promoting it to everybody and also encouraged his father to go who is a bigger Queen fan than him. He also said he kept playing Queen songs this weekend and is totally in love with "I'm in love with my car" which he didn't really know. He also remembered the scene where Adam was in quite well even though I didn't tell him beforehand Adam was in the movie and he certainly wouldn't have recognized him. He really thought that was a terrific cameo and important to the movie as well.

And you only notice that, when you see his face from the side. That’s at least my impression. And I love his face with or without a beard.
