Even my brother emailed me with a big headline about the Queen movie being a hit and grossing 50 million. I explained that the movie was made for the fans who are mega embracing it and the movie critics just don't get it!👋 The success of BR is a testament to fans who love what they love and who understand the "feel" of a movie far beyond the details.

I think this movie is better for people who don’t know as much about the real Queen story/timelines. They aren’t coming in with a critical eye or anything to compare it to. I know it will be difficult for me to leave things at the door with some of the liberties. So maybe not made for the die hard fans, but casual fans or the not yet fans. But these are the same casual fans who buy concert tickets, so in that regards it’s a win. I think you are right! Even the complainers have gone to see the movie, haven't they? They have bought a ticket and put BR in the #1 spot. Those who are long-time devoted Queen fans who know every detail of their history will more likely be bothered by things that are not perfectly accurate. But there is cinematic freedom in making even the best biopic. I don't know all the historical details of Queen. I just know the bare bones due to Adam. I am seeing the film soon and I know I will love it. The movie definitely for fans who love the music and aren't bothered by a few inaccuracies, intentional or otherwise. It's just AMAZING how many people are seeing BR world-wide! They are filling the theaters and loving it! Exactly! Has there ever been a biopic where everything is exactly as it was in real life? It is a movie and they need to make it entertaining and make it flow. I think many old Queen fans and new ones or casual fans are seeing the movie. I can't with these people who will not settle for anything less than Freddie coming back. The ownership they try to claim of him is remarkable. They always know better than Brian and Roger with everything concerning Freddie and Queen. So happy that the movie is doing so well.

Big compliment for Bohemian Rhapsody today by Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe on MSNBC. Near the beginning of the show he mentioned he had seen the movie over the weekend and thought it was the best (or one of the best) musician biopics he had ever seen! Then asked around the panel and studio who had seen it. This movie is taking off big time! It is only going to grow from here as the accolades pour in. I am so happy for Queen and everyone involved! I think it is almost a certainty that Rami will be nominated for an Oscar. I recommended the movie on facebook and a friend in Calif went to see it with her husband. She now says she is a Queen fan and her favorite song is Love of My Life. Ohio governor John Kasich was on The View this morning and also raved about going to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Thanks for the info. I always did like Kasich!

It opened in Russia but with 18+ rating. VOTE! 18+ 🙄. Poor Russia. Here (Germany) it has a FSK 6 rating. I don’t think 6 year olds are usually interested in Queen. But they are allowed to go to the cinema, even without their parents. Yep, poor Russia but they had it on a 1000 screens! Considering the laws going around countries like Russia it's an important movie for many societies.

I understand where you are coming from about the die hard Queen fans but it would be great if they could just embrace that Queen and Freddie are being celebrated all over the world and new fans are being made by getting to hear Queen's iconic music.
