I remembered reading the article at the time and his name rung a bell. Just finished the movie. You will be appalled. Seriously, everyone should watch. It has so many levels to it and the whole time, I'm thinking how incredibly brave Adam is One of the most chilling parts is when they retell the circumstances of a young man who committed suicide inside the Mormon Church. He was gorgeous and seemingly bright and sweet. A former church member told about how tortured he was as a child: "For every birthday, when he blew out the candles, he wished he would no longer be gay. He would not let himself watch his favorite TV show or go to a birthday party if he was still having 'those feelings.'" He went into the church and shot himself in the mouth and left a computer-generated do not resuscitate order. His parents wrote a book afterward siding with the church. They said the entire family all felt a "profound sense of relief" after their sweet, gorgeous, amazing son committed suicide. They were going to be in the documentary, then backed out. Why can't we hold parents who wish death upon their own child responsible for that child's death? They probably have driven their own child to that point. How can a child have a will to live when its own parents feel that it was better if it were not alive? And no way this child did not know its own parents feelings in that matter. They probably taught it that way too. This stuff makes me so upset. We throw a mother into prison who accidentally took her eyes off a child for two seconds and an accident happened and not that I am condoning any negligence, but where is the balance. These parents willfully let their child go down that path to so much self-hate and lack of acceptance that the child killed himself? Then these parents are glad their kid is dead, brag about their "religious belief" and are considered for a documentary. They should be behind bars, imo. I completely agree with this statement! These people are SICK!!!!!!! >:( |

Ha, ha! The Foo Fighters show up to counterprotest the WBC!! I love David Grohl. Didn't he also recently stop one of their concerts and have some guys that were trying to start a fight, in the audience thrown out!
