I sometimes wonder how people in Adams fanbase would feel if he eventually gets tired of the whole twitter broadcast system, and decides to stop tweeting anything or better yet pull a Miley Cyrus and just cancel his twitter account. I sometimes feel that is what he should do...some people will find fault in whatever someone says! It would just be sad if he took himself off twitter. How would I tell him I love him twice a week? I would hate him to be off twitter! I love all the 'I love you Adam' tweets!!

I LOVE my Adam calendar! I don't even know what we paid; did not care. It's gorgeous and the blank space for the monthly mantra is genius.

Yup, just another quiet day at Adamtopia waiting for Aftermath. . . : HA!! ;D ;D ;D Change of subject, just listening to Adele, and DAMN! Girl's voice is like velvet. I think Adam's and Adele's voices would sound AMAZING together. Just putting it out there to the Universe!

Things that have been running through my brain: scary!
How many of us at one time have acquired a new boyfriend and not talked to good friends for months because we were so busy with the new toy? How many of us have friends who we haven't talked to for months or years for no reason except that we perceive ourselves as being too busy and thinking, "I'll have to give so and so a call when I have a chance." Think about those times you tell a friend you can't do something they desperately want to because you just want to veg and watch your favorite TV show. Multiply that by 1000 and imagine the change in Adam's life, little time to himself, not even able to run out and grab a Starbucks without the threat of paps, wanting someone special but knowing the hurdles he will face, trying to sneak a kiss in a hotel lobby and having it on websites from Hong Kong to Houston the next day.
If you don't disown your child for not calling from college every week or your sister for going to NYC with friends and not inviting you, why would Adam be held to a different standard? I've said it before, if I had my way I'd have a GPS and camera imbedded in his forehead to share everything that is going on in his life right now, but short of that, I will come on here every day and get my fix, I will follow him on Twitter, I will not buy magazines I don't want or T shirts I don't like, and I will continue to think no one could possibly understand how much I care that his life is happy and successful. Outside of that, I'm normal. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

KittyKay, CanadianFan…I hope it’s OK to respond to your posts. I admit I have a lot of trouble understanding the “unappreciated by Adam” attitude. Not that I would deny anyone their right to feel what they feel…but I just don’t get it.
It has never crossed my mind that Adam owes me, a fan, anything. It’s my choice to be a fan, and it’s my choice to not be a fan, but that’s the only relationship I have with Adam, LOL.
Maybe I’m not “invested” enough to feel unappreciated? I adore Adam, I love visiting the fanboards for news and pix, I’ll talk about him in RL with whoever is interested…and it makes me so happy to see his career doing so well…but…well, I’ve never, ever felt the need to vote on polls, call in to radio stations, purchase multiple copies of CDs, pay a membership fee to join ALF, or post comments defending Adam on an internet site I’d never visit otherwise. I bought one copy of FYE, one copy of the remix album and one copy of the EP. And two music videos. That’s it. Maybe if I’d invested tonnes of money and effort into supporting Adam, I’d feel differently. But he owes me nothing, and gives me so much joy anyway by just existing…maybe I owe him more than I’ve given him!
I don’t think that makes me a bad fan, just a quiet one (as is my nature). There are all kinds of fans. I don’t mean to imply that Adam doesn’t benefit from all the financial and other support that his fanbase provides…just that…I really hate the thought of any fan feeling that Adam has somehow cheated them out of something because of what they’ve invested in him.
I’m not sure if I’m making sense, and if I’ve misunderstood your original posts though, I apologize.

I'm totally baffled that anyone would feel that Adam is not treating his fans well and not communicating his appreciation of them properly. IMO the man has been amazing in his fan interaction.
I was a member of one other fan blog. When things slowed down for that artist, the collective feeling was being pissed off at that artist because he wasn't communicating what he was doing with his fans. Well the man wasn't doing anything related to his career and music, so what the hell was he supposed to be saying to his fans? I got bored and moved on. If he ever puts out a kick ass album, I'll buy it.
The only time I would ever feel insulted or put down by an artist that I like would be if that person was rude at a concert or said negative things publicly about his true fans. An example would be Ringo Starr a while back telling the press (quite rudely) that he would not be bothered signing autographs anymore. Jerk. Fine, he could decline to sign autographs, but he didn't have to make that public statement. It sounded like he thought the fans were stupid and felt entitled for bothering him.
All I expect from an artist I love is good music and good performances. If I don't like a song, I don't buy it or listen to it. That doesn't mean I don't love the artist though.
As far as him thanking the fans for Charity Water, I would have been satisfied with a PR person saying how grateful Adam was. He's a busy man.
I'm not on twitter, so I don't know if the direct fan communication is now normal for other celebs. With other artists, the only time I've gotten a glimpse of their personalities or personal lives has been through public interviews - on TV or in print.
I consider myself a huge fan of Adam because of the amount of time I spend here and the fact that I love almost everything we learn about Adam. He's an amazing man. However, even if he did something that I found insulting or rude, I'd still buy his music or see him in concert. Van Morrison was pretty much an asshole when I saw him not too long ago, but I still listen to his songs because I love the music. I don't like Neil Young's politics, but I still love his music.
The bottom line for me is that I think Adam has gone over and above what I expect with his communication and appreciation of his fans.

pjd - hi girl!! I LOVE my Adam calendar! I don't even know what we paid; did not care. It's gorgeous and the blank space for the monthly mantra is genius. you know, after I saw the pictures I was a little sad I didn't suck it up and pay the $40 for the calendar. The pictures are gorgeous and as someone pointed out they are high quality photos and a picture at the concert would have been $10... I would love to find a copy but I don't hold out much hope at this point so all I can do is slap myself for being cheap

It is so nice to see you here today One of my many great memories of FS is how over the moon happy you were after the concert - it was joyous just being around you.

Speaking of the calendar, my son asked me the other day "what the hell is Nirvana Day"? I lol'd. Dunno kid, but Adam thought it was important. hahaha
