YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE:
One of the very few Adamtopia guidelines is that posters don't criticize other posters. Now, this particular circumstance is interesting as an initial member asked the membership at large about her feelings about fandom in general.
Every fan of Adam has their own perception of what it means to be a fan. How much you choose to support "fandom activities" is completely up to you. If your fandom activities are not giving you pleasure, by all means take a break. Hopefully its just a temporary one. But it has to be what's right for you.
While I think the original thought process was valid and interesting, at this point, the topic has been sufficiently rehashed and responses are more critical than conversational.
THEREFORE, PLEASE STOP THIS TOPIC.
I will come back every half hour or so and delete any further commentary I see from this point on, or until Q3 tells me to stop.

With 3 hrs left on the Ebay auction, the shirt currently is @ $8,700. May be interesting to tune in for showdown. WOW! Clearly his career must be over and his fandom is deserting him in droves. Reading something like this just makes me insanely happy. So much hope for a wonderful future for Adam built into such a number. do we have the link for the auction..?? |

He'll always have me... I need nothing more from him than music (I still listen to FYE every day...) and every now and then interviews (words!!!!) of whatever topic is current. When Adam#2 comes along I'll buy it and go to as many concerts I possibly can...in order to make new music and/or diversify to other genres; movies, fashion or what have you he needs to WORK and make CONNECTIONS. Eyes on the prize. Other than that, I want him to have a life and be happy. The way I can contribute to that is being positive and supportive, every way I can. For me, this tweet he sent two days ago says a lot about the man and how he feels about his fans. It's all and more I ever needed from him. To focus on the positive: I wanna thank the majority of you for your passion, loyalty and *sanity*! The idea of a fan contest for creative ideas someone mentioned earlier was perfect. It should be pitched to mods at ALF, with pictures of Angelkrash's T-shirt design. Anyone? {tiptoes in} I'm on Work Lurk mode and I actually thought the topic was very interesting and the conversation quite civil. LOL, I tweeted this to Adam last night. I think he should take advantage of the depth and breadth of the expertise of this fan base and do different contests – apparel and merchandise designs, marketing, media, social networking and communications strategies.
Not saying his management isn't doing a great job, but what's the harm in reading other theoretical strategies by highly experienced individuals? It can be like a worldwide brainstorming session. Even if they don't implement any one strategy, the winners could still get a prize and all submissions would have to come with a signed release waiver and an understanding that some or parts might be incorporated into an overall plan. It will help keep us engaged, occupied and mobilized while he's in Adam2 Creation mode. He is trying to expand his brand and he has a tremendous brain trust of people who are invested in the brand not because it's a client, but because we personally and passionately believe in the product. Hear, hear! As fans we come from many different walks of life, different countires/cultures, it could be interesting to see if it would help make Adam more successful. I see this as a win-win situation. As Rabbitrabbit posted earlier, there is no harm in this as presently there is "no creative throughline" in the merch, posters, websites etc. Maybe things will be more streamlined for Adam#2, as they have more time for this project and they have gained some experience. Now they know they can rewrite the rulebook, when Adam is concerned. LOL |

I'm NOT BSC, I swear it, but IF I had beaucoup bucks, since this IS for charity, I would be wanting this item. And I would wear it, too, not put it behind glass. I freakin' love that shirt.
