There is something really wrong on twitter today. One minute i see the tweets, next minute they dissappear and the next minute 20 of them come all together.Does anyone else have a problem?? Mine hasn't worked at all tonight until now. It's been open but totally blanc :-/. |

And the next minute they will vanish and the other minute you will see them again and so on..... Its crazy today.. |

I agree about the country sound to Adele's song. Maybe it's just this song? I haven't heard any of her other stuff. I'm kind of surprised Adam loves this - doesn't seem like his thing. I do like the song and I like her voice on parts of the song but at other times it sounds harsh. Almost annoying.
Perhaps it's my ears. I've always agreed with the universal opinion that Carrie Underwood has an outstanding voice. One day before Christmas I was listening to the radio in my car and Hark the Herald Angels came on with no identification of the singer. I thought "wow this girl has an irritating voice. Of all the great performances of this carol why play this bad one?" I was astounded when I discovered it was CU.
I see more Adele videos were posted as I was typing. Going back to give it another try.
I guess that has nothing to do with Adam. :D Except that maybe Adele would do ok on Country radio.

different strokes for different folks, I LOVE Adele. PJD and Nica she's said she really loved rap and country music in her early teens, maybe that's why you her the country influence. And if I recall it wasn't modern country music, more folk country.
I have to laugh though, this converstation about Adele reminds me of conversations I've had with people who aren't as wild about Adam as I am. It's fascinating how we all love Adam but have really varying likes and dislikes when it comes to other artists.

Let's see if it's still the twittercoaster you describe  Had no problems earlier today at work, but it's the time when only Europe is awake :D. |

OK, did not like the first two Adele songs,... but the last one, "Rolling in the Deep" was really good. So I'll reserve judgment until I listen to more.
20 minutes left on the shirt bidding....wonder if it'll make $10,000.

I like her voice and I tried listening to her CD on the NPR streaming channel and found the CD boring after the third song. I guess I like more variety... |

PJD, try this song--I think it's my favorite of hers... www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYEDA3JcQqwI REALLY like her and think she has a great voice--but I like Jessie J's just as much, and still prefer Adam's if I had to choose. But I don't--I get to enjoy them all! One thing, though, the guy at the end of the Someone Like You vid above said, after her performance, something along the lines of "With a voice like that, you don't need the pyrotechnics, etc., just the voice and a piano"...true, but I LIKE the pyro and the kissing and the sexy fun that Adam gives. I don't want all angst all the time. I don't JUST want the voice. I want the whole package and no one delivers it as well as Adam--just my tastes, IMO, etc. I'm going to enjoy other singers along the way, too, though! This is my fav Adele song, too. Bit faster, more action. I would be bored if Adam only did slow, angsty songs. (Well, not really, it's Adam..........) But really, I enjoy the sexy, dancey, flirty, theatrical Adam just as well. And I like to dance, too! I'm glad that Adam likes variety and can sing anything well, it means I'm in for a treat for anything he decides to put out. Lucky me! |

Every time I've listened to Adele, I've thought she reminds me of some other singer...never really followed through on that thought until today--but Amy Winehouse--THAT'S who she reminds me of (voice, I mean.) But Amy has some fun, upbeat songs, too, which I really like even better than this one.
Check it our though and see if Adele/Amy don't have similar vocals:
