We lost electricity in a 3 mile area around my neighborhood! Just got it back. Knew he was having a Twitter party and I was dying!!!!!!!!!  I need to say, I can not believe ChunkeyMonkey is Flailing!!!!! Ha, ha! Never thought I'd see the day!  Ohhh bb I'm so sorry! :( Well we have Atop so flail hard now!!!!!!!!  Good night again! My (pregnant) sister said Adam probably feels like she does. No one ever says, “Hello,” they always say, “No baby yet?” She gets a little cranky about that, too. |

Sometimes when Adam posts arrows like this I wonder if deep down he considers us all faghags. Makes me feel icky. Is it just me? , I didn't want this to get lost, I saw it just before I left earlier. I have felt just like you sometimes. Last spring, Adam posted a series of (to me) bratty tweets that included calling women by a derogatory gay slang term. I felt like I'd been stabbed in the heart. It might sound really dumb but for a couple of days I really wondered about Adam. I wondered if he was the nice person I thought he was. If he was really as appreciative of us as I had thought. I posted about my feelings on another forum and a gay male participant was nice enough to write back. What he wrote really helped me! It made me realize that Adam is still trying to figure how to balance his gay and straight fanbases, and that not everything he tweets is aimed at me (as I assumed LOL). So I wanted to share it. He wrote: I'm impressed with how [Adam] has evolved in handling both his gay and str8 fans. Early on he alienated some members of the gay community (Details Magazine, Ke$ha thing, not wanting to appear in a Gay Magazine before he gave interviews to the mainstream, his management "not to gay' instuctions from his management to Out Magazine, poor choice of words in RS interview about gay rights). While some of this may have seemed (strange to me, it never really bothered me. However some (many?) in the Gay Community felt that he was turning his back on them and was "selling out" his sexual identity. I personally felt he as just trying to find his way. The host (the girl in an episode of "5 Gays 1 Girl" (an MTV Canada series seen here on LOGO). The host asked to 5 gays: What celebrity would you liked to have a date with. They all replied and she asked; Not Adam Lambert? One replied "Noooo, he seems to have a problem with the gay culture." That was the fall of 2009. His comments on gay fans didn't help. He a one point said that he felt the negatives from the gay community were generational, mostly from older fans. OK, this one pissed ME off. He may not have realized but at the Fantasy Springs Concert a good, good many of the gays in the audience were older. OK, enough background. Fast forward: GLAAD Media Awards. This was his transition. He made and very strong statement that he was so proud to perform for his community. At the end of his performance he asked the community to be more accepting diversity within the community (which was a hot topic in the LGBT community at the time). Since that time, he has made a point of embracing his gay fans, as evidenced recently in his twitter parties. But have his gay fans noticed? Recent episode of "5 Gays 1 Girl" the host gave 2 choices to date (well actually the question, I think was a bit more errr specific LOL), 5 gays: Adam Lambert. What a difference a year makes!
A few days ago he made a comment about kissing "fish errr chicks." I know some of you here felt it was derogatory. If you feel it is, It is. The target of any word directed at them makes that decision, not those who utter it. Usually, whenever I've heard this bit of gay slang its always been in in a joking context (I don't get out much anymore, so I could be out of touch LOL), such as : I'm allergic to fish OR I'm Bi so I only eat fish on Friday. Now, I believe it was Adam's way of balancing the Details picture tweet with his gay fans.Hope this helps! It sure helped me! |

I love him so much. Post Gay...great description and what he has been saying all along.
A pet peeve of mine is ppl that use the term 'The Gays'.....wtf? Like exhibits? Or even when ppl proclaim 'I love my gays'. Yuck!

Oh oh, Adam deleted his last two tweets!! ??? ??? Only the one. Damn he regret it and I feel sorry for him now. EDIT Now I don't see the other too, wal you're right WTF is going on? He deleted both of them. Everyone wants Adam to communicate what is going on with the album, but if his estimate is off or something changes, people get upset. It’s pretty much a no win and I won’t be surprised if we don’t hear any updates for a while. Maybe I’m projecting my response, that of a petulant child, and he will be more mature, we’ll see. |

Adam is growing up. The last two years have turned him into the adult male he is to be. He just gets better and better. I bet his Dad is so proud of him. Never again will Adam ask his father for rent money or a loan for food. It really is a milestone in the lives of parents and their children. Knowing your children are your equals at last. Sometimes you still want to hand them $50 bucks whether they need it or not. Or make cookies for them to take home or give them the leftovers from dinner. Sometimes I miss their dependence on me. My husband does too. He was always slipping the boys money. He doesn't have to anymore. Just one more thing to miss. We use the money now to go to concerts and gambling in Biloxi- a great trade-off.

LOl!! Yeah I knew you were going to flail once I heard Pharrell's name. You were like one of the only ones that was saying that you hope that Adam works with him. LOL I willed it into existence!! HAHAHAH Now I just gotta will into existence the following other things: He releases the single tomorrow. He releases the album tomorrow. The album is a worldwide multi platinum smash. He performs on every major tv show and award show with nary a ninja roll in site. He wins a shit ton of awards for the album. He grows even more eccentric and adopts a pet chimpanzee named Professor Squiggles and moves into a sprawling estate named Glitterland Ranch.*thinks really, really hard*  Too be honest I think one of those might actually be true, maybe not multi/triple platinum album, but maybe 2-3mil worldwide at least. (well at least that's what I'm hoping for.  |
