Sometimes when Adam posts arrows like this I wonder if deep down he considers us all faghags. Makes me feel icky. Is it just me? If you feel that way, you shouldn’t unless you are a fan who thinks she knows how Adam feels or should act because he’s gay. That, I would think (ask Hicklin,) would piss him off. Oh my. Glee is on and the guidance counselor lady just handed Kurt a brochure entitled "Me and My Fag Hag."

I didn't think Adam's "fruit flies" had anything to do with fans. Wasn't he referring to his girl friends like Alissan, Danielle, Carmit, etc? Even "fag hag" doesn't have to have connotations of ~only liking someone because they are gay - can't it just be used to refer to the close female friends that some gay guys seem to have? I have always assumed that it just happens because females may be less "threatened" by the sexuality and more open to friendship. I've often heard women say that it is nice to have a guy friend where there is NO sexual tension or worries. THIS. I was utterly baffled by this entire conversation. I really haven't heard of the FH or FruitFly term in reference to women who like gay men in general (unless it was being uttered as a slur by someone trying to be vulgar), but always in the sense that they are the best, intimate (in the non-sexual sense, ofc) friend of a gay man, or part of an extremely close inner circle. So, in that respect, he was never referring to women or fans, he was referring to his BFFs, of which there are many, but certainly Danielle, Alisan, Scarlett and Carmit.

Isn't "fag hag" like a double negative? But it rhymes. I think that was the tongue-in-cheek joke from whence it originated. One of those, "We'll take back these words and make them own, therefore diminishing your power to hurt us with them." BTW, if anyone was wondering about "comping the vocals" in Rico's tweets, here's a great description. Rico was a lucky beast today; no wonder he's speechless. www.recordingmag.com/resources/resourceDetail/250.html

If we go by the definition given by the Urban dictionary of "Post Gay" which was referenced here (and what Mzsue and I were going on about) when Adam said "Post Gay, look it up" in his twitter party then I certainly would not want "fag hag" to refer to his closest friends, eek. Maybe Adam has a different dictionary. Again, this is simply going by how the Urban Dictionary describes Fag Hag in reference to Post Gay and doesn't at all indicate how Adam may or may not use Faghag in the past or present of if he even saw it in any dictionary he may have or have not looked up.

SophieBachmann Sophie @adamlambert Have you still a crush on Bill from Tokio Hotel?4 minutes ago in reply to ↑ @adamlambert Adam Lambert @sophiebachmann nope... I found my love! 3 minutes ago Oh, my heart. We need more heart smileys on this board!! For all the love! (I'm so conflicted, though. He's more talkative and we get more info when he's alone and bored or traveling. Maybe a day trip away from home once a week, just for the next month or so? What a treat the long Twitter party was.) And yay for Pharrell! Adam, we are SO ready!

That Rico comped Adam's vocals in less than a day says that indeed, Rico was a lucky beast. :D

What an exciting couple of days and what a way to start a new week! I see the beginning of quite a storm!! The list of collaborators, that we know of, on this album is blowing my mind. I am so excited!!! It's getting so close!!!

But Urban Dictionary is extremely subjective. These are random people's interpretations and explanations of slang, which of course evolves by the day, and differently in different regions. That's why the descriptions are often contradictory. He can give the general concept without necessarily agreeing with every last word in that particular definition. I just took that element of the definition as the writer going off on a bit of a tangent. It really wasn't all that relevant, IMO, to the overall description.

If you google Post Gay, there are a lot more sites than just Urban Dictionary. I really wouldn't take their definitions as the absolute truth of what Adam means by the phrase. I'm pretty sure all the definitions are just posted by users - there isn't any true "check" on them.
