I know nothing about the recording industry, but Adam being named Executive Producer on only his second album sounds impressive to me. So much for the speculation that the suits at the label did not like what Adam had recorded or did not support him fully and that was the reason for the delays in the single and album, and the lack of info about it. What a vote of confidence.
It also means that Adam is much more involved in everything related to the new music than I had anticipated. He has been one very busy man these past months, hands on in every aspect of the creation of this music. No wonder we haven't seen him out and about much. Yeah, I am more excited than ever, but I am also more willing than ever to give Adam the time and support he needs to make the best album of a generation!

(Video) (ETA: No Adam) yndseyparker Lyndsey Parker Exclusive! Behind-the-scenes, never-seen clip of the new show 'Majors & Minors,' premiering this Friday - yhoo.it/n3oqbY3 minutes ago ""Majors & Minors," developed and executive-produced by smash songwriter Evan Bogart (Beyonce, Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna), will follow a dozen talented tykes and teens (ages 10-16) competing for a recording contract with Boardwalk/RCA. Along the way, they'll mentored by an impressive roster of A-list adults, like will.i.am, Brandy, Colbie Caillat, Avril Lavigne, and Sean Kingston, and even a few reality veterans like Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis, and (cue childish squeeing) Adam Lambert." Hehe, lynsey is just a bert. I'm actually excited for this show, even beyond Adam's episode. I'm usually not that into child stars, or singers, because most of the time the just seem to green for my tastes. But these children, (at least the one's that I saw) seems to be really talented, and also grounded.

I'm excited too. Really GREAT to know that Adam really is the HBIC on this record. That couldn't be better news. I was one of those who was really worried that the album delay meant that RCA didn't care about Adam's record. Wow, was I down in the dumps all last week. Why invest all this time and hope in being a fan if the record company didn't have the same hopes and dreams as we do? It was amazingly frustrating. Now I no longer think that and it feels great! Now I feel like we're all pulling the same direction. And ... I gotta say ... if Adam has the opportunity to cross over into things like the blues, or urban sounds, or whatever, and break down barriers and taboos along the way, he was right to delay the record. This album is sounding really incredible.

Adam being the executive producer is great news! I am very impressed that he managed to negotiate that with his label, they must really trust his creative vision.
In response to the question who is else is doing it: I am not familiar with all artists obv, but I know that Pink also exec produces her albums (or at least she did Funhouse, and I think I'm not dead as well)
