Truly, this is the most publicity Adam has gotten for any performance here in the US---and it leaves me wondering...WHY? Yes, his KCH BELIEVE was magnificent in every way--but, IMHO, no more so than so many of his other performances throughout this last decade. Seeing Adam lounging alone, cross-legged on that couch last night,he looked kind of stunned to me-and it got me thinking ---is he pondering the same thing??? "And the beat goes on..." Fantastic, reimagined covers seem to provide their own special kind of juice. Similar to unusual duets at awards shows. Combine that with prime time network television, Adam Lambert's glorious voice, Cher in tears, etc., and the stars have aligned.

Probably because he has not really done anything vocally spectacular on a big network tv event in the US since Idol. If there was big tv coverage of him performing WWTLF, TSMGO, (Underneath, There I said It, if people actually knew the songs), Stay, and One More Try (at the Oscars with Adele doing the other song), it may have done the same thing. It can't have a big impact if a wider audience does not see it. I wish that his performance with Queen on the EMA's and Iheart had been a big network event in the US. They were greatly praised by those who saw it but it is not the same as being done on a big tv event. Please let QAL perform at the Oscars if BR is nominated.

IMHO.. why' Believe'went viral...I think The song sung differently than with Cher, with such meaningful lyics,( never paid attention to the words before) plus Adam's gorgeous voice just made people really FEEL and identify with the message, universal theme. That's maybe why the tears .. so emotional and meaningful

LOL He's really liking that Gucci necklace. I think I read where Jared Leto is spokesperson for Gucci fragrances and Harry Styles for the clothing. Maybe Adam could be the accessory spokesperson that would be quite a threesome! I sure hope that Adam doesn't advertise these ridiculous accessories for free.

I was sitting in a restaurant today, and the original version of "If I Can't Have You" played. The disco music and the lyrics just did not make sense together. They never did, especially since the song got the Adam Lambert + Michael Orland treatment. So when I came home I had to add a new "Reimagining" section to the new website. It shows the original videos on the left side, and the Adam-reimagined covers on the right for comparison. www.adamfullcircle.com/reimaginingHave fun! This has become such a fantastic webpage. thank you so much, kryptoman68 .
Btw, he has redone at least one other disco song, as far as I can remember, and that is Love Kills. Maybe you could add it at some point in time, pretty please.
Also, if I may ask, what tools and graphics software are you using to do such fantastic looking graphics and designs? Those are some serious skills. And it looks beautiful.
As I understand it, Love Kills was reimagined with Freddie's voice by Brian & Roger for a new CD Queen was releasing. I don't think Adam had anything to do with the actual reimaging of the song. He just sang the song for the concert. But it would be interesting to compare Adam's performance to the Freddie version on CD. Same can be said for many of the Queen songs Adam has sung. In effect, he did some minor reimaging of many of the songs, e.g. STL.

I know I've said it many times as other have here, but to me, it's ALL about getting on NETWORK TV where the masses watch and where they see performers that they don't actively seek out elsewhere. Adam has done some stellar performances on odd cable stations or at untelevised events. We fans follow the videos and watch them like crazy. But nobody else knows about them. Even shows like SNL seem to have a odd mix of musical guests, everyone from the top A-listers to some local NYC club bands. Sure would be nice if Adam finally made it onto SNL at some point. Same is true for the late night talk shows (Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, etc.) They all have musical guests who sometimes even have a sit-down with them. I know he hasn't had huge mega-hits, but neither have many of the other performers we see on US network TV. He's as high-profile as some of them are. It took this one "Believe" performance on network TV for a high-interest event show that really stirred up excitement for him. If so many people were impressed with Believe, Lord knows they'd be impressed with a bunch of other songs he's done, and I don't just mean covers.

I think it was a standout performance with controlled, perfectly nuanced vocals and emotional depth - it was "relatable" and it looks like important people were watching or were in attendance. It appears that "sanitized" but genuine and slightly vulnerable Adam works really well to pull in the masses (remember "Tracks Of My Tears" and "If I Can't Have You" from Idol?), plus I agree with others that Cher's tears were extra "headline worthy". I can't remember any tv appearance other than Idol or NYE in London that has captivated me as much. (My DH called it his favorite Adam tv performance in 9 years, because "he did not go over the top vocally")

He just sang the song for the concert. Would be interesting to compare Adam's performance to the Freddie version on CD. True. Brian and Roger took Freddie’s isolated vocals and mixed it with a new instrumental arrangement. This way they transformed the disco song into a ballad. It has been released on their album „Queen Forever“ in 2014. The performance with Adam was included into the US-Tour to advertise the album. It was exactly the same arrangement as on that album. I liked it though and would like to hear it again. A better example is Adam’s performance of „Save me“, IMO. It’s not completely different from the original, but still different, more heartfelt. Brian has explained in his book, that the a cappella beginning of the song was Adam‘s idea. Adam never changes the Queen songs too much, though. And for good reason. 😉

Looking at Adam posing in the lobby entrance to Park Theater....brought back memories of many of us standing there back in September and getting our little Park Theater pics taken. We know just about exactly where he was sitting since many of us memorized that venue seating chart. I kept comparing Gaga's stage set with the QAL set...the trust.....the folks down on the floor....the big projection screens, etc. We watched QAL in this venue and last nite he's watching Gaga there three months later.....with GaGa's Radio Gaga Queen connection and the double Gs (nice double meaning for GaGa) Gucci necklace....lol Where was Adam sitting for the concert? It looked pretty far away, I was surprised that he wasn't closer to the action. He looked to be behind the banquettes and to the side, but not sure.
