And 2-3 seconds at the very end, too. Saying something about the audience is smart and they can tell if you are being real. Where a little girl was squealing and the boy next to her put his hand on her arm to calm her down a bit. haha Missed that. Will have to go back and watch it again. thanks

This gig with Majors and Minors is very interesting. On the website for Hub I found this: "A hub is a place where great things come together, and that's what The Hub TV channel is all about! The Hub is a fun destination that brings kids and their families together to enjoy clever stories and engaging characters in new and classic comedies, animated adventures, movies, and live-action shows. The Hub is brought to you by two of the best names in entertainment: Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc." Hasbro is a huge toy company. From the Discovery Communications website: "Discovery Communications (Nasdaq: DISCA, DISCB, DISCK) is the world's #1 nonfiction media company reaching more than 1.5 billion cumulative subscribers in 210 countries and territories. Discovery is dedicated to satisfying curiosity through 130-plus worldwide television networks, led by Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Science and Investigation Discovery, as well as US joint venture networks OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, The Hub and 3net, the first 24-hour 3D network. Discovery also is a leading provider of educational products and services to schools and owns and operates a diversified portfolio of digital media services, including HowStuffWorks.com." Not sure how Adam got hooked up with them, but it looks like an interesting association. Certainly Adam has the credentials to be a mentor with his background as a child performer since age ten, and the influence he has said his coaches and mentors had on him while growing up. He has done great things with donorschoose.org. He has a sincere interest in working with kids and in helping them grow as artists. On the other hand, Adam is self-admittedly more than a little "left of center." Being on a network focused on kids and their families doesn't seem, on the surface, to be a natural fit with common public perception of OTT, flamboyant, guy-liner, (AMA) Adam Lambert. This gig is a very smart expansion and broadening of the Lambert brand in the public's perception. I don't know anything about marketing, but, this seems like a great opportunity. Yeah, I really like this expanding of his brand, so people can see the other side of him. When Adam did the American Idol mentoring, I remember when the Hans guy was still writing in his blogs, said something about how he wish that his management showed more of that side of Adam, then the edgy, rebel guy that they were showing before. Also that he thought that Adam would make an excellent A&R man.

A few things ---- Adam is on Majors & Minors because it is a partnership between Sony Music Entertainment and The Hub. All the Majors are from Sony. The Hub is a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc. "Majors & Minors" was developed and is executive-produced by Evan "Kidd" Bogart, the songwriting hit-maker for music stars Rihanna and Beyonce, and top TV producers Timothy Scott Bogart and Gary A. Randall. The show is produced for The Hub by Boardwalk Entertainment Group in partnership with Sony Music's RCA Records and BMI." Link to press release: www.marketwatch.com/story/grammy-winning-superstar-william-and-grammy-and-academy-award-winning-superstar-jennifer-hudson-join-roster-of-mentors-on-the-hub-tv-networks-new-music-reality-series-majors-minors-2011-09-14?reflink=MW_news_stmpIn confirming the business relationship of Sony and The Hub, I came across this: "This is exciting news for the network, since they want to expand and are in need of a family show. Hopefully it will work out. They could use some mature series and also show off some great vocals. Heck, they even have Adam Lambert as one of the mentors! That says a lot since he used to be an American Idol singer." ------ I agree that Adam #2 seems to be transitioning over time -- at least the collaborators have shifted to more rhythmic producers. But I think that Adam's slight hesitation about OOL being on the album -- another "probably" -- is because the album track list is probably not final and he does not get the final call on that.

I just looked it up and it means Artist & Repertoire. It is the division of a music company that scouts and develops talent.

I know so little about the music business that I can't even phrase a decent question. Thanks cassie. I'd like to know what an A&R man is, too. Also, what is the new GN_____ something or other bunch of letters about Adam mean?
